A federal high court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has
granted the prayers of Senator-elect Buruji
Kashamu for an order restraining his
extradition to the United States by the National
Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The court also awarded cost of N10,000 againt
the agency for laying siege on Kashamu’s
residence since Saturday.

I hope NDLEA will be humble enough to respect this court judgement. Illegality can never be used to fight criminality. Due process must always be followed no matter the situation.

It still beats me how dumb our NDLEA officials are...Someone in the agency obviously wants to grant Kashamu a legal shelter.

How can u invade a man's house in this 21st century without a proper court document and expect the law to grant ur request for extradition? More so, even going ahead to disobey a interim order of vacating the residence.

Infact, NDLEA boss, Ahmadu Giade should be arrested and extradited to ISIS for proper lessons on legal extradition.
