It's been about 3 months now since I grew fond of making death threats at the slightest provocation.
Initially, it was just almost a joke, but recently I've made serious death threats to folks upon highly provocative issues.

13 days ago, one of my best friends whom I've also jokingly threatened to kill was about to be promoted, we were all happy and wishing him well until last week when he told us that Mr Fool (let me just refer to him that way) has blocked his promotion once again. This Mr Fool did same thing about a year ago and now he's done it again, just because he's a say in the company and his excuses have been that my guy is a diligent guy and until his department finds someone who can discharge his duties articulately like my guy does, he's not ain't going anywhere. It seemed like I cried more than the bereaved but the urge of killing Mr Fool kept on stalking me throughout that day and even the next.

Earlier this week one of my uncles made a derogatory remark about my ever humble dad, and killing him seemed like reciting the English alphabets to me. Something, kept telling, "just look for where to buy a pistol and erase all these morafuckers."

The thing is that I've never for once considered killing someone no matter the gravity of the person's offence. In fact, one of the reasons I stopped going to church was because our pastor always preached an eye for an eye. In prayers he would tell us to pray for the death of our enemies, but I've always maintained that we shouldn't pray such prayer, instead, we should pray for our enemies to live long and witness the good work of the LORD in our lives. Now, I'm no more religious .

Most of the time I've made that threat jokingly, I'd always say "to kill you no hard me, I dey dey nakkked call people name 7 times in the night, but your own na beans, I go wear suit call your name only 2 times you go appear for my mirror and I go just kill you."

Everybody will laugh and say "this guy no go kill me with laugh."

Recently it hasn't been the same, I've sat down and reminisced on my reactions towards the two incidents I mentioned above, and found out that something was strongly urging me to buy a gun deal with those guys or better still, keep it in case such issues arise again. The urge is quietly taking over me.


Can I get a reasonable advice on how to stop such tendencies?
Is it normal, has it happened to any of you?
How did you deal with it?

Maybe you should join a church which does not preach kill, kill, kill like mountain of fire. Go to a church that preaches love like Christ Embassy and a few others.

Hmm someone once told me about how going to a particular church that preached how enemies should die e.t.c
Made him very vindinctive and he kinda got possessed with a spirit of wanting to kill anyone that wronged him.......

The first step is voicing it out.....hearing a voices asking you to do things may also require your visiting a mental health specialist,it doesn't make you mad but it will help you a lot to deal with what you are facing so you don't do something grieviously wrong to someone that will make you unable to extricate yourself from it.....

Some churches should be closed!
More people have become mentally unstable than have found the deliverance they preach,unfortunately Nigeria doesn't keep such statistics

Go see a counselor and psychiatric asap.

Simple solution: kill yourself and save the world!

Do you think it's gotten to that level?

You'll need to see a shrink or a trusted man of God. Please don't take it lightly. Start retracing your steps back to God and replace your thoughts with nice things about people both good an bad. If you love movies then restrict yourself to watching comedies and dramas. Start getting back to the loving person you really were and still is. Dont give the devil a foothold please. God bless you

Some folks in here have cited psychological deficiencies and advised you to see a therapist or 'Man of God' ASAP.

I dunno, maybe you should.

Perhaps, it could be some form of neurosis.

It's okay to feel grumpy every once in a while. But this sounds a bit more complicated.

And though I wouldn't wanna join in tagging you a functional freak, nonetheless, the emotional damage may have already been done to you.

But stop whining. Use your insanity to get ahead.

Being desirous of taking another's life or making frequent death threats as you put it, how sane is that to you?
