CG Tip Of The Day , When rendering your animations in 3dsMax(or any other 3D software ) its not advisable to render in a video format such as avi or mov ,or any video format.I know the BIG question is WHY ?,here is the reason : most times when rendering an animation into a video file output using any 3D software (including 3dsmax) ,if your computer crashes or an error occurs along the line its possible the entire video you have rendered so far might get corrupted(65% possibility),making it useless,so imagine rendering an animation for about 15hours ,its about to render the last frame......then BOOOOOM,your system crashes or an error occurs(probably as a result of insufficient RAM or disk space),that's 15hours wasted. So what's the solution you ask ?,here is the solution: When rendering animations its better to render your animations into an IMAGE SEQUENCE(in jpg,png or any other preferred image format),this way you can save your self from unnecessary waste of time and loss, even if an error or crash occurs just the image of that particular frame being rendered will be affected ,then you can start rendering from that point when you are up and running again. (NOTE : You can easily reassemble the image sequence into a video file without hassle using a video editing software or compositing software such as Adobe Premiere,After Effects,Autodesk Composite.) Hope you learnt something today ,questions and comments are welcomed.....Keep Loving CG. #CG #3dsmax #tip #rendering #image #sequence

CG TIP OF THE DAY : When creating(or modelling) clothes for your characters and all forms of clothing ,kindly endeavor to use triangular polygons instead of four sided polygons, you will get better deformation when you do this. #cgpadis #cg #tipoftheday #cloth #3D ....Keep loving CG

#‎CG‬ TIP OF THE DAY .When using 3dsmax and it suddenly crashes and you forgot to save!!! Don't give up there is still hope ,3dsmax has a feature called Autoback ,it automatically saves your work at specified intervals. So next time 3dsmax crashes navigate to this folder and redeem your project , it might not be on the same point you stopped depending on the set interval for autoback but its better than loosing all ,here is the folder you should navigate to,C:\users\<username>\my documents
\3dsmax\autoback . I hope this was helpful, stay updated with more awesome CG tips #‎3dsmax‬ #‎autoback‬
