You people don't know who you are dealing with here. Please we need an answer to HayqinsbFX' s Question o? And is it advisable to write a form of appeal letter, explaining in one's terms his explanation for some of the reasons for his denial? Answers please! @Siga @Mevisbleek @ Tnuola and other executive contributors. 1 Like |

anthochie: Quite unfortunate though. I think the visa office in your case was the issue. I applied from the US on a student visa and got it. I met a few people here some who came from the US and some from Europe who all got it from their country of study. If you have to go home to apply to get it, no problems. I wish you the very best in your replication and I think now the process is faster than it used to be because I know a friend who got his within 6 weeks. |

Thank you so much for your response it has been so helpful, pls I will like to know why people opt out from colleges,is it difficult to get a visa from nigeria with 2 years duration? And another question is,if am apply from nigeria do I need to drop my passport given to registering online? Might want to use my passport to travel back for the main time!! Thank you all...awaiting my bosses responses here. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by kfrosh: 4:28pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
1st question - Read 2 pages backwards 2nd question - You will need your passport for Biometric after online submission which can be done a day after submission or within a 30days period while u also wait for the response from the Embassy. @Oga Siga #Noted Sire kingmapping84: |

darefestus: Good day, Sorry for the late response. I would have to read back to see what HayqinsbFX asked Regarding appeal letter, I cannot say YES or NO just do what will make you sleep well at night. If writting the letter will make you sleep well then go for it. If it were to be my app i will for sure write the letter. |

kingmapping84:1. A lot of people do apply to colleges as educational background as well as grades obtained whilst in school vary from one individual to another, as not every applicant will get an MBA, MSc Admission which can be quite tricky sometimes for some peeps even with good 2:1 so you can imagine what it will be like for sum1 with a 2:2 grade or A Third, having said that some are admitted with some relevant experience in addition to their grades. Doing a 2-year college program after a 4-year BSc program in Naija means that program needs to be at postgraduate level to show academic progression and the program should be closely if not directly related to you undergraduate program so that PURPOSE OF VISIT is not ticked as refusal reason after the VO reads only your admission letter. Hence why some peeps write an SOP to clarify things to the VO and even peeps studying at higher levels like Phd,MBA, MSc,Postgraduate One year or Two year programs write an SOP too, as well as those changing their programs from what they studied at undergraduate level 2. As long as you have sufficient funds from your sponsors to cover your 2-year program and you satisfy one above then approval is likely but not still guaranteed. 3. If you are applying online you only need to scan and attach your international passport data page and any visas you have (recent and expired) and your passport remains with you till CIC request for it after medicals. 4. if you intend to submit via the paper route then you will need to submit your international passport along with your documents. 5 Likes |

Dear Nairalanders, I'm I dire need of ur advise. I ran into dis thread accidentally in d course of researching into studying in Canada. I'm currently employed by Lagos state govt as a secondary sch teacher. I have 2years working experience. I have a B.A in Music (2009) M.A Music (2012) and currently doing a Post graduate Diploma in Education. My eldder bro is interested in sponsering me to study in Canada buh wants me to pick up a Diploma prog which appears to be cheaper and would last for 2years to enable me get a 3year work permit after completion. In d course of my research too I found out dat applying for a Diploma after getting a mastes degree may work against me wen I decide to apply for my visa therefore I was able to convince him that I shd go for a PGD instead. But the challenge now is this- I was told that courses that sells in canada are under trades and business. Therefore I'm looking at doing sth in Human Resouces, Advertisement, Tourism or better still doing another PGD in Education since I'm already in the teaching line. Don't knw if applying for any of these courses wud work againt me since dey are not in tandem wit my 1st and 2nd degree and these courses are also one year program can I get my Permanent resident under the one year I wud be working? Pls I'm not in a hurry to jet off to Canada hence my reason of wanting to get dis basic info befor I start applying to schools. Thanks Brothers and Sisters as I expect ur prompt replies. Thanks again. |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Siga: 6:30pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
hayqinsbFX:... Sorry about ur denial once again... 1. Length of Proposed stay get as e be oo... Ur program long sha... I always advise applying for visa with less and once u get here u can switch at will ...But since u have no option here... I can only suggest u write a detailed explanation as to why u chose a 3 yr Adv. Dip. 2. Would have done what someone advised here.... have an employment letter... 3. Payslip or tax receipt would be nice here... |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 6:34pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
As to the length of proposed stay, I have a new admission letter stating my program is gonna be for 2yearrs as I will be enrolled in the fasttrack into the year 2 instead of starting from year 1. I intend getting a letter of introducton from the company referencing my denial based on employment situation by saying they acknowledge that I'm an employer ssince so so so date. About the payslips, I don't intend adding any as the letter of introduction would state that I am on a no pay scheme as im only a graduate trainee gettng valuable experience before I further my studies. Am I good to go sir! Siga: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Siga: 6:37pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
hayqinsbFX:... Still abit concerned about that employment situation reason.... Well... we have to handle it with faith ... People don collect visa on top unpaid work... so its not unheard of... do all u can... |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 6:40pm On Jun 21, 2015 |
If I hadn't filled an employment stuff in my first app...I cud like to do without it.... Buh since I graduated just last year....an unpaid intern isn't something over the moon.... I'm just bothered about stating I'm an unpaid intern in a company I'm coming back to take over.. Help me on this... Asides the letter of introduction is an employment letter necessary.. Siga: |
