Open Letter To Mr President: Change Is Possible by Mc4larin: 12:32pm On Jun 10, 2015
It's few days to the end of another service year of my fellow
batch B Corp members for answering to the clarion call of
the father's land. We have served under the sun and in the
rain; day and night and have executed several community
projects...
It's very important that this letter get to Mr president, it's a
quick reminder on one of his promise during the campaign
that every Nigerian graduate should be paid some amount
of money after the service year (NYSC) pending on when
they secure a job...
My fellow Corp members (BATCH B&C 2014/2015) expect
Mr president to remember the role we played during the
2015 general elections as we slept in the class rooms and
some slept in the Bush to protect the election materials day
before the election, some could not get home until five(5)
days after election, some came home with injuries, some
didn't eat for days, some were adopted or kidnapped and
released days after elections. As we have paid these prizes
for our father's land to ensure a credible, free and fair
elections.
Our expectations are high as we take off the khaki and
hairdressing, no longer called federal government pikin(fgp)
(FG last born), MR PRESIDENT AND MR VICE PRESIDENT
Do not neglect nor forget the NYSC batch of 2014/2015 Corp
members.
Finally, I congratulate His excellency, the president of the
federal Republic of Nigeria General Mohammadu Buhari and
the vice president Prof. Yemi Oshibanjo for their victory at
the polls
Long live NYSC SCHEME
Long live the PRESIDENCY
Long live the FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA

I think it makes more economic sense if government rather provides credit and loans for post service graduates who want to go into business to do so and also create jobs for others who are not confident enough to be entrepreneurs.

Having passed through NYSC and learnt a skill, government can at least support such endeavours by providing the intending enterpreneurs with various loan schemes and support programmes in different categories between N3 million and N10 million naira. Before this happens, everyone to benefit from such should be issued with a National ID card attached to your BVN so that there won't be much security concerns that will warrant requesting for collateral. This would also help the banks in case you need more credit facility, and with time in the nearest future our national ID will become a requirement to rent a house, apply for a job, apply for a loan, open a bank account etc which will ultimately end the era of collaterals for loan.

This is my take
