Most of U do not understand what they're measurably considering. They're not talking about how well a country is developed, it's actually the ability of human potential development, assuming some other important areas like inequality are not considered. US remains the most developed country in the world, every area considered |

princejayboss: Nigeria's problem is called Dutch disease. Bigger than even GEJ or PMB or any past leader. Dutch disease. Resource dependency. Look at that list again. The top 20 nations have strong industries, and strong technical and scientific sectors. If we want to be there...we have to drop all the talk about oil....and focus on those aspects. 1 Like |

pure2012soul: Yes you so right ..... NIGERIA have great people around the world .... As a matter of fact a Delta state guy just got some technology that will help enhance the ability of an F35 fighter jet ... That will make it no ever match ..... Now if I begin to tell you what Nigerians are doing out there but what do our government do .... They made sure that the environment will never favour a layman.... A crippled Nigeria lady (Ibo) did a new banking software that turns the west mad in Ghana ... The list goes on but I ask this question In this country Nigeria .... We have three basic tribe bah? Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba.... Igbos ..... A group that travels out of this country... Can do anything to survive and bring their innovation home Yoruba .... A group that can as well travel out to find a greener pasture .... They may not often bring their innovative mind home but they represent to the fullest Housa... A group that travels out of the country to only attend some prayers sponsored by the government .... 0% contributions to the state of Nigeria. Ruled for like ages yet can not give 1% to their region.... yet we trust them again to bring development this time around .... We can never reach the height of south Africa if some people still preach that a woman don't have to go to school.... If some group still want to destroy western education but they still use phone to coordinate their attacks and yet phone are what the west brought us .... We shall go down further.... Just watch some retarrrds start defending and talking Shhhit about slavery, independence and all that other nonsense The black man seems cursed and we must break the curse. I'm on vacation in Europe right now and y'all should see the way they keep order, like lines for cabs at the airport. I and my family were just thinking that if this is back home, you'd have idiots jumping lines and even worse, the attendants would still serve someone that has clearly jumped the line. I mean are the rest of the people on the queue fools? Are they "mumus" for being orderly? What gives one the right to jump to the top of the queue when it's not ur business establishment you're going into. Black man needs education to break our curse. Other countries are solving NEW problems and we're still solving the same ol' problems of no light, petrol scarcity(even though we have oil, SHAME!!!), no roads... My dear nairalanders, I challenge you all to be the best you can be in what ever sphere you find your self. Give it a hundred percent of your efforts and then some. That's the only way this curse to the black man can be broken. Educate and Elevate your brothers, sisters and watch our society prosper. 4 Likes |

bushdoc9919: Brother yes you are right to some extent .... But let me tell you one thing ..... Do you know that GEJ all he can so we as a nation will be given a clearance by nuclear community to own a nuclear power plant? Do you know why it stalled ... Yes its because of the radically nature of the north... Electricity could have a forgotten issue but imagine if we have full power nuclear plant and there is a crisis ? We know how our northern brothers do their thing ... Maybe They vandalize a nuclear power plant without even knowing the repercussions.... I tell you 86% of Nigerian populace will be exposed and die finally .... I put it to you that the north is a set back to this nation.... They need a total re- orientation ... If we are to function as a group |

wtfCode: Not exactly. The reason why Nigeria is not developed is that most of you....and that includes both Northerners and Southerners ....think that as long as you have oil money....and as long as you share the money properly....so that you can import from oversea.....you are okay. Well....that is NOT how a serious nation thinks. Serious nations use their education, science and innovation to think ahead all the time. That is why Nigeria is not in the top twenty....and that is why if Nigeria divides...things won't improve. (And when Nigeria divides...you will 1) Fight for the oil or 2) Live peacefully until the price of the resource you are selling crashes....then it is fighting for the oil well well). Speaking of which....how is your state doing education wise? Especially in the rural areas.? Are your universities comparable to Yale, Harvard etc? Can you point to any new industries, new inventions, etc. Better wake up. Nigeria is backward....because all of you are backward. Better wake up. 1 Like |

What do expect, I don't see blacks nation developing why? Because of our behavior, we don't love ourselves, no honesty. An incident happened when my mum travel to London, she forget her at a London shop, imagine the white guy in the shop need to call me that am in Nigeria that someone forget her phone at his shop, what makes the guy to call me is am the last person my mum called. Imagine that scenario. 2 Likes |

pure2012soul: Aha .... I even forgot the list you mentioned... Few months before elections ... I was going to come to Nigeria with IDF pilot friend of mine .... Be told me that why is it that polio can not be eradicated from Nigeria.... I could not answer that question thanks to our northern brothers Our problem is that we are so short sighted and perhaps run a short memory upstairs .... We forget to easily .... If not we all know our problem..... A country with 28 oil well, 24 managed by the north .... By a group that have the height level non literates. If we must develop we must define an era for the North ... They have to go back to the drawing board .... 1 Like |

princejayboss: Forget nuclear power. Most people are opposed to nuclear power....including Southerners. (I happen to think Nuclear power would work. But anytime I suggest it here.....people jump on me well well). Plus....we do not have enough nuclear scientists.....and engineers. And as far as I know...GEJ did not do much about nuclear power while in office. Plus....the problem is that we do not believe in education....and yes that includes the South. Education is meant to solve problems....not to give you a white collar job. Remember that. 2 Likes |

Irrespective of who is in Aso Rock, Nigeria has been under the grips of almajiri culture of bakwomi. So long as bakwomi culture springs up who ever shall lead Nigeria at every four years, Nigeria shall continue to remain bottom place. Worse is: this time, much of the money that should have gone to provide development infrastructure is now put into fighting Islamic terrorists from northern Nigeria. If you are called a Nigerian , pity yourself. |
