bushdoc9919: Lie .... Am a nuclear physicist .... I can tell you the GEJ did alot in that aspect but it was not his call .... Speaking about scientists we have more than enough.... I had my basic university in Nigeria ESUTECH... During my study year we are very few but 40% of us went abroad for Masters and doctorate degree ... Now I know about 7 of us who are Gods in different Nuclear facilities around the world ... am not speaking of FUTO or FUTA and other university in Nigeria. During my study and journey... In Japan I meet 11 Nigerian who can make wonders with the rods... 4 are Yoruba , two benin guys and others are Igbos... I don't speak of the head of one classified reach technology in Russia that is Nija ... I met another 3 in Mexico.. infact the scientists is not the issue though I don't its easy to lure them home considering that they are treated like God by the government that now owns us, the issue is that we are not ready for such advancement cos we can't protect it The people who oppose it ... Does so because of the fear of what harm it may cause if there is leak or damages.... It will take Japan 40years to clean the mess caused by the typhoon 2 Likes |

We not only hold our leaders responsible but every Nigerian as well. The mentality of the average Nigerian needs to change to one of progression, development, continuous improvement, maintainance and research not just focusing on money money money. There must be clear separation between governing the country and religion. We have allowed religion to mesh into every aspect and it drives laziness because we are all expecting this but miracle of huge money We spend so much on church and nothing on research yet if another ebola crisis comes again we will be begging for vaccines. It will probably take a generation of change for the mentality to change. 5 Likes 1 Share |

princejayboss: A country with 28, oil wells in the South, but northern people own 24 of the wells. Go tell the Prof. Tam David Wests of the Niger delta. David West hinself wouldn't even care if all the 28 oil wells belong to north, so long as a northern president appoints him a minister. In 2005 or so when OBJ was eyeing Third Term, he sent Anenih to assemble southern politicians in Enugu to tell them that Nigeria's underdevelopment was caused by a phenomenon of oil proceeds being managed by people from areas - north - that do not produce oil. Many from south fight against themselves, seek for their private pockets, while the north plans for overall good of the north |

A $500bn economy and that is what Nigeria gets- a lowly HDI ranking thanks to the backwardness of the north to drag down the country with their sorry selves. And now with this clueless and globetrotting dullard in charge Nigeria will be even more of a laggard. 1 Like |

Lousymouth:/ It is good so that the people that see one badly tarred road or a four-storey building as a big development will crawl back into their rat holes. Nigeria is still a 5th world country. You can't even breathe some fresh air in the middle of green vegetation because people urinate or defecate all over the place like primordial animals. Worst of all, everyone thinks it is normal. \ 2 Likes |
