He voiced his concern. What is wrong with that? All it needed was a reassurance from the NFF that the venue is safe. Issuing him a query is wrong! IT is a National Team for crying out loud not a club that employed him!

Vincent Enyema is guaranteed right to his opinion by the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria. Every reasonable man ought to express fears about hosting matches of that magnitude in the north. NFF should please stop hosting our national teams any where in the north. We are all aware of security situation in the north.

my question is simple: what would be our reactions be if MESSI tore a query handed to him by a dysfunctional Argentine federation? Eyeama has been phenomenal in the super eagles and has grown as a player too... the NFF with dis action has bought the bullets which they intend to shoot themselves in the leg with... chikena... wont be surprise if we dont qualify sef!!!!!

My dear people let's be realistic with ourselves, when a sensitive comment as such is made on a very sensitive region like the northern Nigeria...... The best option was to call Enyeama secretly , he is a human being, ask him why made such comment if they became not satisfied then query can come in. Freedom of speech, freedom of opinion, freedom of interaction....... God bless super Eagles... God bless Nigeria.

Nigerians/NFF getting more worried about respect rather than NFF actually doing their jobs. Just to divert the discussion from the real issues.

Nations Cup was meant to be hosted by Morocco, for the very fear of Ebola, they declined, and chose to be santioned by CAF.
Everyday scores of civilians die due to insurgency in the North, so you prefer they stage match in the North to prove to the world that North is safe @ the expense of their lifes.
Let me quote our President Buhari... “We are witnesses to the rampant destruction of homes, roads, communications lines, vital infrastructure and displacement of persons not to mention terrible loss of lives.”
Are you saying he's lying?

Enyeama be careful what you do as a leader because you will influence others.

With the kind of awful pitch that match was played in & considering the sensitive security situation in some Northern states, Kaduna inclusive, Enyeama was spot on in his criticism.
Must you take a match to the north because the last one was played in the south?
. That was how Nigeria failed to qualify for 2006 world cup after their draw in Kano heat with Angola.
NFF got it wrong.
This is what is killing us till this day. Answer a simple question. What eyeama did was it right or wrong simple.

Did he say anything that has been shown to be false?

There are much better stadiums in other parts of the country - better pitches, better capacity, better facilities (Keshi said so before the game)

The environment is hazardous.

So why play there?

Obviously following OBJ's footstep. After all OBJ (a purported elderly statesman) tore his party card in public.
That's why OBJ's action was widely condemned.

He is good but that rudeness is out of it,he is not bigger than Nigeria. There is always replacement we may not have it now but that doesn't mean he should be doing anyhow as if he is God. Absolutely rubbish of him I don't expect a professional player like him to do that.

But...why the query in the first place,? His concerns were the same with that of almost every Nigerian. It's something that Could have been explained to him quietly. Is everyone formal at the NFF? Being issued a query for an authentic question? That's truly surprising.

I think he might have done that in a fit of momentary anger at being issued a query just for asking a question- and one that doesn't deserve such.

It's bad action from both sides. Both parties should come to an understanding and let it go. It's poor judgement and action from both the NFF and Enyeama.

Nihilist:
I back Enyeama all the way. Why should NFF schedule any international match to be played in the North given the current volatile situation?

And then you have the guts to officially query the team's captain logical objections to such a stupid decision?

Fact of matter: Super Eagles need Enyeama far more than he needs them!

Football unifies this county like no other, and kaduna is safe and has been a venue before.

Enyeama statement is politically and ethnically divisive and he was queried to expand on his position and he decided to ridicule the NFF by tearing it in their presence.

How rude, that is the greatest disrespect to Nigerian supporters

What's NFF doing if not to embezzle money like FIFA officials. So many developed countries refuse to come to Nigeria not even Kaduna to play friendlies cos of this security issues. We need Enyeama cos he's good and has the right as a captain to speak, Evra of France has done it before so no be new thing. What if BH attacks believing that these two countries playing are our enemies or we forgot so soon that Kaduna is a den of suicide bombers, abi CCTV don dey Kaduna stadium now? Safety comes first in any sport, players have the right to choose what they want cos if anything happens NFF will deny them all and even say the players took the decision to go there and you won't even hear the side of Enyeama's story (A fearful Ibo man aint thinking of Abuja talkless of Kaduna). I've been wondering recently, what happened to Abuja and Lagos national stadiums are they now rugby stadiums? Must the board take matches to far end of a country like Calabar & Kaduna to satisfy political baboons forgetting the safety of the players and that of the ones who wants to watch? Changing of stadium is like going to different churches you will end up going the wrong way. There should be mid-point for all matches in Nigeria like Wimbledon stadium in England. Football ought to be putting smile in citizens face but in the case of Nigeria it's the other way round. Which way Nigeria
