I was wondering, when a girl I dont love rejects my "proposal" politely and i get hurt by it, is this a kind of weakness i have? Or is it normal?

I know this girl I dont love her, just something on her body attracted me to her, and then i get rejected by her and consequently get hurt and make her my enemy, is this normal?

I am not referring to a single gal, I mean it happens a lot of time to me, that feeling of slight hurt is what i dont understand, why should I be hurt when I know I dont love her?
