What is your view about the style of politics played in the South-West, when compared to that of the South-East?

I so much admire the late sage, Chief Jeremiah Oyeniyi Obafemi Awolowo’s style of politics. He started way back in the 40s and was very consistent. He followed a defined track in his political career as a progressive and a modified socialist. He was consistent, and remained in opposition throughout his political career. He never rocked the boat to join the winning team. So, that consistency is what I admire in the politics of the South-west political zone. Secondly, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has followed the same line. When he started, he had only Lagos State and was consistent. Even when his brother from the South-west, former President Olusegun Obasanjo denied him his local government allocation for many months, he carried all through. He never considered joining the winning party to sail with them. From one state, he had more states. He re-strategised and today, he is the leader of the ruling party.
This type of politics is what I admire. Not the butter and bread politics played by most of our people. When they go for primaries and fail to get nominated, they jump into another party to contest. The next time, they are not lucky enough, they go back to the other party. This act is what I call ‘political prostitution’, and should not be encouraged by Ndigbo. Regrettably, one of them openly referred to political party as a vehicle that takes you to your destination. Believe me South-west has the best politicians in Nigeria

Useless journalist. Why are you comparing the two regions? Are we competing? Why not compare S/W to S/S or S/S to N/C?

When it comes to BIAFRA, the Yorubas and Hausa/Fulanis are the WORST hypocrites.

They bitterly hate the Igbos and indeed the southern minorities and would want them to leave Lagos etc and go stay in their own country!

But in contradiction to their true feelings, they don't want Biafra because they want to perpetuate their right to collect the lion share of the oil resources sourced from the same peoples land, using the bogus criteria they foisted on the country called Nigeria.

Without oil in Igboland and Southern minorities part of Nigeria, Yoruba and Hausa/Fulani would have long seceded from Nigeria. FACT!

Igbos don suffer. See insult nah ! So we should play politics like pple deceiving themselves calling it sophistication. Pls tell us to play politics like humans in our class, not some sort of pple below our class. When dem begin dey weigh Igbos and Yorubas together, say them no de kill like their bros from North no mean say they are same level with us. They just use one level pass their religious folks up North.

You bastards are just seething with rage and hatred that Anambra is on the up and up! It's bigoted xenophobes like you that are currently kicking themselves on how they missed placing Aguleri in the north (during Gowons state creation in 1966) to make sure Ndigbo get fuc'kall benefit from the oyel God deemed fit to bless them with! After all, the plan worked out well with Egbema and my place Ndoni that was placed in Rivers, so why not Aguleri!

I disagree bro, Some SW states are pumping their own oil now. So, dont think SS/SE are just the producer.
In not too far future, oil may be discovered in Borno at the Lake Chad basin. Take America as a clue.

Nothing last forever. Dont think SS oil will last forever. You are pumping it and nothing is replacing them back.

So, dont think the SW will suffer in a situation of break-up, they will surely stand tall than other regions.
