Aregbesola To Pay Osun Workers By End Of June

Reprieve seems to be coming the way of the Osun State workers following the assurance given by the state government to pay unpaid salaries by the end of June.

This assurance was given through the Osun State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gboyega Famodun, at a conference on Wednesday in Osogbo, the Osun State’s capital.

At the gathering of the APC leadership and members, Mr Famodun appealed to the workers to maintain calm, as the financial crisis would soon come to an end.

Although the APC Chairman assured the workers that they would be paid before the end of the month, he was silent on how many months the government could afford to offset.

He attributed the inability of the Osun State government to pay workers in the last eight months to the drop in the Federal Allocation.

With the assurance given by the Osun State government and after a closed door meeting held with the leadership of the workforce, the workers expressed optimism of an end to the eight months of unpaid salaries, but not without some reservations.

It is few days to the end of June and with several meetings ongoing between the Federal Government and the Osun State Government, the pensioners and workers could only pray that their entitlements be paid soon to bring an end to the one month industrial action in the state.

At a meeting between State Governors and President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, the Federal Government promised to pay back to the State Government monies expended on Federal Government’s projects.

The Governors were also asked to look inwards and boost Internally Generated Revenue to ensure that they meet the State Governments’ salary obligation to workers.

So he accepted that GEJ was not responsible for his inability to do his job. GEJ may not be the best president but am impressed that since he left he never exchange words with the like of APC on all the allegations he has been accussed of. And for some reasons things keep sorting out on its own.

One thing i notice about AreGBESE or AriGBESEsola is that he usually put on WHITE clothing.

That is pure deception. Appears "White" outside but inwardly "Black" than charcoal.
