They were not actually marginalized, they have gotten their fair share and attempted to dominate others before they were put in place.

What sort of greed and wickedness would make Tinubu and co want to take everything that should have gone to the other southern regions. You already have the VP,it was only fair the SS should have been allowed to produce the speaker since the SE has no ranking APC HOR member. Their greed eventually became their undoing. Even in the sharing of principal offices of the NASS,they grossly marginalized and under estimated the SE/SS/NC.This eventually became their undoing as the three regions came together to ensure the political decimation of their local champion

Yoruba leaders are still playing Opposition in the ruling party.

I don't believe Akande said what Nigerian Newspaper quoted.

Junk Journalism everywhere.

Yorubas are born opposition.

What's the need for their loud mouths if not meant to criticize everything notwithstanding that they are bereft of ideas and critically myopic?

So far in this unholy marriage, the north seems to be wining with the one sided appointments of their members, leaving the south west pained and feeling cheated. well, the show has just begun, almost a month into the current administration and the nation seems to be on standby as these selfish fellows cannot come together to forge a common front! keenly watching these events in 5D! cool

Very interesting comedy. Nollywood can go to hell for now.
exactly . It was obvious and tinubu plus all stakeholders in apc actually did prepared for it BUT the pdp angle changed the whole game.

We are thankful that our lands are still fertiled and under-developed. With the best technologies of tomorrow, we will build straight 10 lane roads, roller-coasters, bullet train and levitation magnetite rails, we will build the best bridges money can buy, and leave the zoo. We warned yesterday that this Tinubu's media onslaught would backfire. The people they are dealing with operate on zero-tolerance policy for independence of mind, the media and criticism generally.

Yet we warned Tinubu and the Akandes of this world long ago that going into an 'alliance' with these people with a single strategy will take them no where, they said we are 'clueless'.

They think once you can put an RCCG 'pastor' to deputize the dullard cow herder all their problems would vanish overnight. They theorized that it was all about good versus bad governance. Once you have 'good governance' everything will fall into place.

We shouted 'let's push for the adoption of the Confab report, it is better than this your so-called alliance. We said "look, Nigeria's main issues are not as shallow rooted that can simply be solved by installing a 'puppet'". They said just watch and see.

It all seemed their main strategy was to install puppetry to be controlled by their 'sophisticated' economic and management 'Czars'. An extension of that strategy might be to think that the pastor would have a large space since the dullard is deficient in major parameters of 21st century leadership with an aging profile.

But it happened. And it happened very quickly. Our predictions are 99.9% accurate after all. It's a use and dump end.

If you are here and thinking this Akande's rant is all about Bukola Saraki's senate presidency, you are making a big mistake. Things have moved far from that. Tinubu and his herds are suddenly awaken to a brutal reality of their second-class status in the scheme of things. It is just too late.

nothing can change the impending take over of apc by the northern political elites and the brushing aside of tinubu and his so called political machinery into the dustbin. The only options left for akande and the people that sent him on this fools errand is to follow buhari and his northern elites like ileya rams and make no complains or simple leave apc for them .

In the SW, the number of those that benefited from Baba Awo's free education and political brinkmanship has drastically reduced. What we have now are southwesterners heavily trained in almajiri school of thought.

I share your thoughts on this.

We have our people, even so-called professors, following one character who has never written a single paragraph of his own original thinking, in form of a book, as a contribution to the body of knowledge that Pa Awo pioneered.

Why won't they be scammed?

OK it is confirmed that the major thing that can divide Nigeria is a fight between the North and the south West but some tribe who is always beating their chest and hating on the south west think they can do it all alone while they ought to dialogue with the south west as as to make them see reason why any tribe interested in leaving Nigeria should be allowed to do so. It better their leaders start meeting with the south west, though it might not be easy but as time goes on they might get what they want.

what funny prediction? Why can't people read between the lines! The statement states that the North knows that a fight with the south west will destroy Nigeria and some people are still making crap comments. The statement shows that the north do not want any confrontation with the south west because they know it won't be good for anyone but that can not be said of other bad Belle tribes. grin

The Akande write up is straight from d heart epistle though the timing might be wrong. One aspect of d write up that can't be washed away is wia he admitted DAT d sole aim of d PDP mbrs DAT joined with d APC was on how to oust GEJ and not how to form an alternative n better govt than d PDP. Having achieved that aim d nPDP has every right to lobby for a significant position in d govt n this they got. APC aloofness in not zoning these positions to zones outside d NW n SW with d pretence they don't want to meddle into natn'l assembly affairs whereas the leaders actually had preferred candidates also contributed. They knew DAT if they had gone zoning d SE n SS wud v perceived marginalisation as there was a grand conspiracy to punish d SE for voting against APC. Fortunately for d nation but unfortunately for d winner-takes-all APC leaders, God had a different plan for d SE and just as d bible said God can make u to be at peace with ur enemies. As per d purported support from d oil barons, it will be difficult to prove at this point and I think its to make Buhari hate d natn'l assembly. D entire scenario is quite interesting.

The only reason for this isn't far fetched and it is because of the near collapse of our educational system which has produced ppl with the least analytical and issues dissectioning abilities ,and who see ethnic insults and bashing as a way of covering up their mental abilities deficiencies. If this continues then it will be very very hard for majority of todays nigerian graduates to attain greatness in life and they will always be ruled by those who study and trained abroad.
