Good afternoon guys. Please, I need first hand reviews on dc ceiling fans. I want to do away with my 135w fans and replace everything with DC fans.

Has anyone here used them before? How effective are they?

I'm currently using 4 dc ceiling fan in my house. 2 in my living room, 1 in my bedroom and 1 in my children room
I'm using the Gasa brand
To get the beat out of it get a 12v adaptor to connect the fan directly to light
I was using smc ceiling fan before i decided to change to dc ceiling to reduce the load on my inverter
the air displacement of dc ceiling iis not as high as that of normal ceiling fan like smc
One day i decided to replace the blade of the dc fan with that of the smc ceiling fan. Boom
To my surprise the blade of smc fan that fit perfectly into that of qasa dc fan
Now my dc fans now blow like a tornado
Also to note
Smc ceiling fan 80 to 95watt
Dc fan 30watt

I also use this but like u rightly said the wind displacement is not as strong as the SMC, but changing the blade is a fabulous idea, will try that soon as I have an old SMC laying around somewhere.

But my true interest is the 12v adaptor, how did u Implement it and does it work better than the regulator that comes with the fan? Cos am taking out the batteries as I don't really need them

Ur DC fan adapter should be at least 5amp or is it 2amp? Cos I know 1amp wont roll those blades faster

Since u already have an inverter, u Dont need the battery in the fan, did same to my DC rechargeable standing fan, I removed the battery, bought a 12v 5amp adapter, connected the adapter to positive & negative of the fan, if the battery of the fan is still OK, u can leave it in the fan and connect ur adapter to + & - of the fan, it will still work both ways

I don't know the brand you are using
Mine is qasa brand and did not come with battery
Just connect the adaptor to the +ve and -ve terminal of the fan then you are good to go

Mine is qasa too and it's rechargeable, so comes with a battery built in the regulator. Urs seems to be a regular AC DC model, I get it now. Thanks a bunch

Can two panels of unequal wattage be paired up. Let's say 80w and 150w or 150w and 240w

I never knew I had been decieving myself for past 8 years on inverter's actual load consumption,not until i got an energy meter which accurately displays exactly what am consuming. I was amazed!!!

I had to increase the volume of d woofer while playing a song with good bass before the meter reads 40w. It was at this stage i strongly believed d meter.

So, the wattage of some electronics need to be at maximum usage before the true colours appear.


Before you praise your battery's capacity test, get an energy meter to confirm actual load.
