I never knew I had been decieving myself for past 8 years on inverter's actual load consumption, not until i got an energy meter which accurately displays exactly what am consuming. I was amazed!!!

Print ------ Actual
Tv 50w ---- 34w
Bulbs 9w ------ 9w
Sound system 40w----- 16w
Tv 50w ----- 24w
Bulb 5w ----- 4.5w

I had to increase the volume of d woofer while playing a song with good bass before the meter reads 40w. It was at this stage i strongly believed d meter.

So, the wattage of some electronics need to be at maximum usage before the true colours appear.

Before you praise your battery's capacity test, get an energy meter to confirm actual load.

Presently using brand new 75amp × 2 car batteries in parallel (150amp). As my battery don finally pack up and man don dey addicted to inverter.Budget too tight.
Could you pls snap the energy meter and how much did you get it......

Bought some 18650 cells from a nairalander a couple of days ago, spent 3 days assembling and balance charging them. Still testing them

atomic bomb, lol.

Did you connect the green charge controller to the CC cv buck converter or it's from solar panel directly? How much total current can you pull from those two converters together?

Yeah, i connected the charge controller to the output of the buck converters, which are connected to the solar panel directly. I am seeing 14a output from the two, but will wait until the battery is further depleted to check that again as the batteries are near the cutoff voltage i set for them. Don't want to charge them fully as I read that you lose some cycles if you do that. Keeping them charged to 12.3v max. What do you think?

yes you're correct , not charging fully will keep the cells very active for a long time.

But may I know why you connected the output of those buck
converter to the other charge controller.

I think it should be more efficient if it goes from solar to buck converter then to battery.

Maybe its for the display...

It's a makeshift battery charger, with the bulk converters supplying power instead of a solar array, I might be wrong though.....

To avoid back feeding the converters in the absence of sunlight, also to know what goes into the battery at any given time. Still trying to get a charge controller that can charge a 3s battery, most of the ones I am seeing can only go down to 13.0v

okay I get it. You can't easily get lithium charge controller around unless you order.

Any issues?
