It may be a fungal infection. Its usually persistent but can be managed early. Carry out both bacterial and fungal culture before any treatment. Damn! Why wait this long? Anyways, treatment might take months so brace up. I can't prescribe till test reputation are out.

mGoogle:
Please, please, Gentlemen and Ladies; please help me.

I have a niece who had a mouth problem since she 4 to 5 years old but now she is 15 years old.

The problem is this:

There is some kind of rashes that uses to swell up in her mouth and some are small and some are not and as it is, every night and day her mouth is bleeding due to those rashes on her tongue and inside her mouth.

The thing also affected her teeth and that her teeth look so dirty, she can't eat food that is contained with pepper neighter can she eat hot food nor drink hot things because it pains her.

We have do almost all sorts of medical remedies but to no avail.

I believe that her problem will come to end once I post on this internet of nairaland.com as someone directed me here to ask anything because am tired of google.

Please my brothers and sisters I really need your help on what I should do to make her mouth look fresh, smooth and clean again like every other human being.

See the photos of her mouth, tongue and teeth.
.....just like divannie has said.....go to the nearest hospital and report the case to a doctor...the medical laboratory technician will use a sterile swab stick to obtain saliva from her tongue...so that a microscopy and culture/sensitivity test can be carried out......her tongue is infected or probably reacting to something..... As for the brown teeth, another sterile swab stick will be used to obtain a fraction of the dirt in the teeth and carry out for testing.....make sure she doesnt use any substance or mouth cleanser so that a pure sample of the supposed dirt can be obtained and proper test result revealed.

I recommend u going to a teaching hospital; I would suggest Rivers state university teaching hospital or enugu state university teaching hospital. they have vast number of specialist in all kinds of sickness, but u will be patient enough to meet with the real veteran. don't worry about their fee, it's just a token....get going now, the earlier the better!

I totally agree. We shouldn't just judge based on appearance. I can't really say if its thrush because of the teeth discoloration. An MCS would do for now

This is a serious mouth infection she has got. Why have you allow it to linger so long before seeking remedy?

How i wish you could bring her to the Nigerian Navy Reference Hospital for her to be treated properly.

She needs a sensitivity culture analysis to determine the causative organism to determine the kind of antibiotics needed to treat this infection. And should be administered intraveinously.

You have to go to a hospital and tell them to use a swab stick to collect the fluid coming from the blisters for culture. This will help to identify the specific organism responsible for it and determine its sensitivity. Random antibiotics may not work. Please take this girl for proper treatment. Wishing her speedy recovery.

@Lalasticlala, other opinions are needed please
GOOD evening. I share your opinion also. I guess you are a Microbiologist? I am also a Microbiologist as well.

Wooooow
You didnt tell us if you have taken her to a medical facility and which medical facility.
This looks like a minor infection that has been allowed to fester.

Exactly my thoughts, this infection is a minor one that was allowed to take over her system. She not only need to rid those things from her mouth but also from her blood stream. This is going to be a slow healing process. Pls dont rule out traditional help . I wish the kid speedy recovery.

well,i will suggest you take your niece to a teaching hospital. There she will be referred to appropriate specialist, she will be managed effectively and accordingly. Desist from home remedy solution and stop googling about it, it wont help.

.....yes!...An MCS test will be a better start....probably some bacteria will be detected and the corresponding antibiotics can be used.

This should be a bacterial infection of the mouth.

She should be taken to a well equipped hospital and medical laboratory for identification of the aetiologic agent responsible for this infection.

Wish her quick recovery.
