Not unexpected.

Nigerians must move from blaming our President's for everything. As much as he/she gets the lion share of praises when success is recorded, we must pick on individual appointees and beem our searchlights critically on them. We must shun anonymity principle and give praises and blames to whoever deserves it. For instance after the meeting with the service Chiefs, somebody adviced on the need to remove checkpoints backing his position up with all available reasons and when it backfired, it was PMB. We can grow a nation with members of an administration knowing they are not going to carry out just about any experiment in government and expect as usual the president to take all the bullets for them. That has held us back. GEJ was punished by the impunity of those he engaged. Mr Buhari don't do much just hold the "BIG STICK" high up and be ready to slam it on "TROJAN HORSES"

Sacking people is not the issue but replacing them with credible and capable people. It shouldn't be a case of sacking Mr Ita Ekpeyong of Dss and replacing him with a retired Lawal Daura who was told that Boko Haram would attack Kano but he did nothing until bomb starts exploding everywhere.

Ambassadors do not need to be career diplomats. They can be successful politicians cum business men. The father of the Kennedys was America's ambassador to the UK at some point, if I am not mistaken. The current US Ambassador to the UN, Susan Rice is also not a career diplomat.

The career diplomats are like Perm. Secs to political Ambassadors.
