because weekends are not counted as a public holiday since weekends are free days for most people. the excess of public holiday is having a break from duty not a break from home.

Seriously I really wonder how some people comprehend issues. It a common knowledge and tradition in Nigeria to give two working days as public holidays for major festivities. Sometimes I really wonder if the caliber of people we have as NLANDERS are matured minds or some amateurs who should be more concerned with there books to pass jamb/wasce. Irrespective of regional and ethnic differences I just don't believe any reasonable educated mind would stoop so low to be so irrational and vulgar to issues
