Am sorry if am posting this on the wrong section of the forum pals.

I read Linguistics in one of the prestigous universities in the country. Finished my NYSC programme in 2013. Sadly, i have not been able to get that dream job ever since. While waiting for that dream job, i have engaged myself in other ventures to gain experience and avoid idleness.
My problem began recently when i applied for a job in a famous ICT firm based in Lagos. I sent my CV to them via an email address and at their new office in Enugu. They promised to get back to me as soon as possible.
Just this afternoon, i got a call from their HQ with the male voice sounding so friendly. He asked me series of questions bothering my personality and the job description(salesman for/on Microsoft). The issue here is that during the discussion,i allowed my Moral Principle to overtake me and i made this statement- '' though i have basic knowledge of MS word,Coral draw and Powerpoint. I have no experience in sales job.I am willing to learn on the job if hired.''

Friends, i have not been myself after that call cos am scared i have lost out. I couldnt just gag up the courage to LIE about my qualification just to sell myself to the employer. I need the job and willing to learn too. Need you guys advice cos am confused here.
