A friend of mine, is considering getting married to a guy in sweden, she does not live in sweden but wants to know how long she will have to wait to get a visa(not visiting visa,but the residence permit) b4 joining her hubby

Is she marrying him for real abi na arrengi ? Is she already in one of the EU states or back in Naija ? If she is in naija , it may take not less than 6month but from EU countries maybe 3months. Is her hubby swedish or from one of the Scandi, countries? Maybe if this questions are answer then you may get a detail reply

no its a real marriage,shes not in the EU,shes in australia,her hubby is a nigerian,got his permit in sweden and lives there,i dont know if hes got his swedish passport,but yea i think he has it

Most importantly you have to find out the immigration status of the man there in Sweden(the sort of residency possessed).

It can take a long time for such permit to be approved.The local consulate will usually forward the application to Sweden,where the man will be contacted for consent + normal checks and return back to the consulate(averagely 6months to 1 yr).The scrutining will be subject to the harsh national immigration laws,unlike the EU flexible regulation for family members if only the man relocate to other EU state(s) and your friend apply for a visa to the new country under the EU dimension.

the guy has all his business there,his work and so on and prefers sweden,like they say,a woman should be where her man wants her to be,and she loves europe too,shes been there a couple of times,she's been to swden ,germany and austria



but since she stays in australia,if she applies,how long does it take to get an appointment for an interview?after the interview how long will it take before they consider her positively

benefits ke,she's stil a young girl ,in her mid twenties,i think it's the guy dat wants to enjoy the marital benefits more,cos shes a surgeon working in sydney and earning good money here,doctors in sweden earn nothing,infact doctors even in germany earn nothing, so shes d one sacrificing everything to be with him

the guy still leaves in a rented house in sweden,she has 4 houses here in australia,so i think its d guy dat wants sthg not her,judging wt d way he keeps pestering the girl for marriage


ok but seriously the guy loves her and she him,i dont think either of them are getting married for material things,its a real marriage
