The above quote is another in the season of goofs from our octogenarian president. President Obama nominated his cabinet and administration before he was sworn in in January 2009 for his first tenure. Infact immediately he was announced winner of the election on Nov 4 2008, Obama announced Rahm Emanuel as his Chief of Staff. Then he went ahead to nominate Hillary Clinton, his rival during the Democratic party primary as his Secretary of state.
On Dec 1 2008, he announced he was retaining Robert Gates, a Republican and Secretary of Defence in the same capacity, not minding the fact that they don't belong to the same party.
How can our president's media team allow such fundamental faux pas in U.S of all places. Since Buhari has refused to appoint his cabinet we should expect much more costly mistakes in days ahead.

Obama named his full cabinet before he was sworn in on Jan 20 2009. Except for the Secretary of Commerce. The man who he norminated for this position, Bill Richardson withdrew on January 4 2009. It was only in his second tenure that it took him almost three months to constitute his cabinet.
