You are too dull to know the effect this has on the common man. It means others will be careful knowing full well that Saharareporters and premium times are watching.

Ever wonder why there was a report recently claiming the government ( I am sure you must have loved this, as it is never about your love for the country but rather your hatred for a certain political party and group of people ) is worried about how classified information gets to the press.

josite:
let me help dakuku out.the supreme court of nigeria like the house of lords in britain is not strictly a court of law like the high court of justice By now all should have note that it is only the high court that is labelled the high court of justice, the court of appeal or the supreme court are never labelled as supreme court of justice or court of appeal of justice.

the court of appeal deals strictly with the law and not necessarily with the justice of the case while the supreme court is a court of policy .Even though the letters of the law may say morning in nigeria starts from 6am to 7pm .the supreme court may DISCERN THE SPIRIT OF THE LAW and still go ahead to interpret morning as commencing from the time the morning light is out ,when everyone can clearly see without the use of torchlight .

yes there may be electoral violence and irregularities in those elections affirmed ,the supreme court as a policy arm of government upon whom the safety of the realm lies may well decide that Nigeria cannot afford to have a one party state therefore the opposition will have to be given a foothold and therefore decides to leave those states in the hands of the opposition.

The supreme court has done this several times and has in times past says governors consent even when obtained after deed of mortgage was executed is still valid consent though the land use act actually says consent must be first had and obtained.

the house of lords in england too many times especially the 3rivers case also refused to give heed to the strict letters of the law seeking to encroach on legal practice privilege attaching to the attorney client communication and also held that whatever the client tells his lawyer ,even the admission of guilt cannot be expected to be disclosed to law enforcement agencies as doing so will make legal practice almost impossible.

dakuku should go and rest.supreme court has the final say.whether bribe or not, they are the interpreter of the laws in nigeria and if they say from today daytime starts from 8pm in Nigeria to end at 11 midnight,it will take effect and anytime thereafter u greet me good morning when you see me at 8.30pm.

what Nigerians can do is to ensure charlatans never make the supreme court because it will cause untold hardship.in uk the supreme court is called HOUSE OF LORDS.L O R D meaning final as in JESUS IS LORD.

PLEASE GET IT NOW AND FOREVER,SUPREME COURT IS A BALANCER OF THE POLITY.MAKING SURE THE NATION IS NOT TILTED TOO MUCH TO ONE SIDE,PDP SIDE OR APC SIDE OR NATIONAL ASSEMBLY SIDE OR THE PRESIDENT SIDE OR THE MASSES SIDE.

I congratulate the supreme court for yet effecting another delicate balance in the polity.
Tanx for the apt lecture sir. I learnt quite a lot from it. More grease to your elbow...

Your the one not listening to yourself. Emir Sanusi did not make bogus claims. The PWC report revealed he was right. NNPC diverted Billions of dollars.

If Emir Sanusi did not blow the Whistle, PWC report and audit would not happen. Emir Sanusi needs commendation for that.

What other evidence do you want after a report released by an auditing firm confirmed NNPC not remitting Billiins of US dollars.
His claims may have prompted an audit of NNPC but it was not the first time NNPC was audited or investigated so nothing really new thr. As for ur assertion that a man that publicly touted 3 different figures all around 20bn dollars was proven right by the audit report pls read for urself via this link and tell me how much pwc stated in the report, less than 2bn dollars! That man just said those things to cast aspersions on GEJ and of course GEJ needed to clear the air by directing a forensic audit into NNPC accounts. I'm not saying NNPC is clean, I'm just saying that mallam Sanusi was just making noise, that's what making claims without any proof or evidence amounts to, same thing APC and Lai Mohammed are doing now.

TheGoodJoe:
Who made him crook, you? You are just spreading propaganda and attacking the messenger. We debated Emir Sanusi's sack. It was illegal.

Emir Sanusi is not hiding. The message was he exposed the massive diversion in the NNPC. The PWC report proved it was true.

Attacking the Emir does not change the fact that his exposure was true. Attacking the figures he released does not change the fact that NNPC did not remit Billions of dollars.

Attack the message, Not the messenger.
Seems u haven't been understanding or reading my points so far. Yes NNPC is corrupt, we don't even need Sanusi to blow any false whistle to know this. I'm attacking Sanusi because he was just running mouth and making bogus claims which he never backed up with any form of evidence. Seems ur one of those who is very gullible and will believe anything just to assuage your belief that the last govt was the most corrupt, something that we know to be a propagandist claim by APC. I'm attacking him cos he cannot just make claims without evidence or proof. He was just blabbing. At the risk of repeating myself, let me say again that NNPC is very corrupt and did not even need Sanusi to say anything b4 we know. NNPC needed and still needs to be probed from 99 till date.
PoliticsRe: Maritime University Cancellation: Another Own Goal By A Niger Deltan by 247notire(m): 11:47am On Jan 27, 2016
TheGoodJoe:
Attack the messenger and not the message. We know this. Emir Sanusi had his defence for the allegations from the corrupt cronies. The allegations were not proven but the PWC proved him right.

The fsct is that PWC proved Emir Sanusi was right that the NNPC did not remit Billions of dollars. So you can choose to attack him or face the fact that he exposed one of the highest corruption scandal in the history of Nigeria.
What do you mean by the allegations were not proven? A person that was indicted by the FRC and other investigsting bodies and ur saying this? Where did he get his 3 figures from? NNPC has always been corrupt so nothing new thr but PwC's report did not confirm the figures missing to be any whr near wat Sanusi was flinging around. NNPC needs to be thoroughly probed from 1991 till date no doubt but Sanusi was just making noise to attract empathy as he knew he wud be indicted. He wanted to be seen as a victim who was sacked cos he "exposed" corruption in NNPC. That man is a crook and nothing more.
PoliticsRe: Maritime University Cancellation: Another Own Goal By A Niger Deltan by 247notire(m): 11:36am On Jan 27, 2016

The issue is not Emir Sanusi claiming three different figures. The issue was h fought to expose that NNPC did not remit billions of US dollars.

The figure is not the problem but the corrupt act itself.
He fought to expose what? Someone that was indicted for different heavy reasons, what moral right does he have to expose NNPC? Is it not a case of kettle calling pot black? And if he was sure why name 3 diff figures? Go and educate urself, click on the link below to see why he was sacked.

What are you saying reasoning ability. The report questioned their transparency. What the NNPC did was wrong and Emir Sanusi cried out. You can not spin bad as good.

Emir Sanusi was right and the report proved him right.

That above cannot be spun.

All this long talk should chill until the NNPC probe starts.
That NNPC is wantonly corrupt is not in dispute, the issue here is that Sanusi claimed 3 different figures to have been missing, all above 20 million dollars. I'm not saying NNPC is clean but that u shud not just swallow Sanusi's allegations as factual after all the man was also indicted by a probe and sacked for it so he cud have given all those figures just to attract public empathy when he wud be eventually sacked!
PoliticsRe: Maritime University Cancellation: Another Own Goal By A Niger Deltan by 247notire(m): 11:16am On Jan 27, 2016
TheGoodJoe:
Haba. The NNPC were to remit the money and not spend it as they like. That was what Emir Sanusi cried about and you are here supporting it.

Emir Sanusi was right and the PWC proved him right. You and NNPC can spin it as you like. That facts do not lie.
Ur reasoning ability is questionable. NNPC has operational costs amongst others which it uncured on a daily basis so wat do u mean by they were to remit and not spend it as they like? Is operational cost "spending as they like"?
PoliticsRe: Maritime University Cancellation: Another Own Goal By A Niger Deltan by 247notire(m): 10:20am On Jan 27, 2016
TheGoodJoe:
This coming from a so called Well Informed person is baffling. As I said, you were one of those who fought against the truth of Emir Sanusi. Your comment proves it.

PwC's audit report supports many of Sanusi's allegations. The auditors found that the total gross revenues generated from the federal government of Nigeria crude oil liftings was $69.34bn from January 2012 to July 2013.

The total cash remitted into the government's accounts in relation to crude oil lifting was $50.81bn, leaving $18.53bn unaccounted for.

The report raised serious questions about the level of transparency and corporate structure of the national oil company.

http://www.internationalaccountingbulletin.com/news/pwc-forensic-report-on-oil-revenues-unveils-nigerias-demons-4570423
And didn't u also know that NNPC gave their own account where they factored in operational costs among other costs incurred by them in the same period? The total money that was unaccounted for became very very reduced. Sanusi was busy conjuring and named 3 diff figures without any coherence or evidence. Abeg eh, if all u do is blv wateva anyone says then u shud go back to primary school...

It is peole like you that denied when Emir Sanusi blew the whistle on the NNPC not remitting billions of dollars to the Federal account. At the end Emir Sanusi got vindicated.

Below is the letter of $300 million transferred in one sitting. Imagine what moved total. The cases are in court. When the case is done, you can say if it is a lie or true. For now, you do not know more than the EFCC.

“Please find a request by the National Security Adviser (NSA) for the transfer of $300 million and £5.5 million of the recovered Abacha funds to an ONSA [Office of the National Security Adviser] operations account,” the letter read.
“The NSA has explained that this is to enable the purchase of ammunition, security, and other intelligence equipment for the security agencies in order to enable them fully confront the ongoing Boko Haram threat.
“His request is sequel to the meeting you chaired with the committee on the use of recovered funds where the decision was made that recovered Abacha funds would be split 50-50 between urgent security needs to confront Boko Haram and development need (including a portion for the Future Generations window of the Sovereign Wealth Fund),” Mrs Okojo-Iweala wrote to GEJ.

As for the pic, it shows the PDP shared dollars. You can not shy away from it. That picture was from a girl celebrating her own cut.
Was looking forward to having an intelligent discourse with an informed person, but u are totally misinformed and uninformed at the same tym.

You say Sanusi was vindicated? By what? Didn't u knw that the useless man was probed and indicted for many issues b4 he was sacked? U knw nothing man. Ur telling me how money was transferred to the NSA account, but that had never been the issue. The issue is whether the 2.1bn dollars been touted on all media places was truly embezzled. Lastly that pic does not prove anything and cannot even be used as evidence in court so it means nothing. Pls get urself informed by reading newspaper and not from nairaland. Have a nice day...

Continue swallowing the lies your propagandist spits at you guys. You think Okonjo Iweala was confused when she said she approved money for Dazuki.

Below is a cash a girl close to a PDP member got. If a chick can get this, think of what top politicians got. You can lie to yourselves, not me.
That picture really doesn't prove anything irrefutably man, not these days when social media has been bastardized. You, as a zombie has refused to dispute my analyses and ur still mentioning $2.1bn. If u say 2.1bn dollars was embezzled how come all the moneys Metuh and Dasuki and co have been charged for hasn't even amounted to 10bn naira? And if the money was embezzled as claimed how come the same military has been making appreciable gains in the fight against bh? With what arms have they done this? U may rush to say substandard and whack arms were bought but this current administration hasn't bought any yet, meaning that the arms are actually serving their purpose. Look at the facts sir and let's keep talking. Pls if ur responding, respond to my questions and logically too not telling me abt 2.1bn dollars cos it's just trash...

Do u know that song zombie by cranberries? Look for it.... Your last statement prompted me to quote u. If wat u sat is true how come this govt even without buying additional arms have taken the fight to BH and are making serious gains? Ppl like u are just young men who only became politically aware in 2015, u knw little about the history of the problems of Nigeria and obviously, APC propaganda has infected u like lassa fever. Nobody shared any money in the way uve bern told dude, they are just naming bogus figures cos at the end of the day all the moneys that all the culprits so far have been charged for isn't even up to 10bn naira and someone like u blvs 2.1bn dollars was looted.
