FolarinLondon:
If every region in this country employs threat or economic sabotage to drive home their demands, Nigeria ll never enjoy peace.

In the last administration, Yorubas were pretty marginalised, even a brainless mad man knows this except Igbos who enjoyed that administration to the fullest. Yorubas didn't choose economic sabotage or threat to drive home their grievances..

Nobody is calling anybody to the table for a peace talk, Federal government wants to deal with Igbos once and for all. If you are smart enough, you would have noticed through Northerners write ups online and their politicians body language in political arena that they are ready for another civil war. They hate Igbos as much as Igbos hate them.

It ll be suicidal at the part of Igbos to think that they gonna get away with threat or economic sabotage, South East ll be turned to NE.
Then if u think they will succeed then you are very wrong bro. Meanwhile why are u playing the ethnic card so early? Yorubas sef... Even if wat u said abt the last administration is true, if after 55 yrs we got our own turn to enjoy a govt why do u hv a prblm with that? Or you yorubas and the Hausas that have been enjoying same in other administrations do u have 2 heads? Meanwhile b4 u mention me again pls Google up all the cabinet members and heads of different parastatals in the last administration and tell me if majority of them aren't Hausas as per usual... I honestly blame GEJ for not using his position as president to better the SS and SE but he is from the SS though so I can't ask for much as an igbo man. Pls check dat stuff before responding tnx...

May I ask if they no longer enjoy the amnesty? Were they not paid the allowances lately by this same government. So what is the problem now? Why are we creating and encouraging anarchy in the country. When you take up arms against the government, you are asking for more than you can handle.
Their stated grievance here isn't amnesty is due is it? Fact remains that wateva they say means nothing, na just talk but my point is if they start bombing oil facilities, the govt will be more affected and they can cripple the economy further. hence brute isn't still the best option unless the govt is willing to risk shutting down the refineries for a long long tym. I'm not trying to justify their demands just saying facts as they are...

Buhari must apply wisdom. Trying nnamdi kanu is not the way forward. It will only add fuel to the ibos agitation.

Why not bring him to a roundtable and use his crimes as a leverage in a negotiation to stop him and his followers?

Why not let be a soverign national conference to discuss the issue of secession?

All options should be tried before show of force either militarily or through the court of law.

Buhari! Thread carefully. Remember Nigeria as a whole also carry the guilt of biafra war where millions perished. One Nigeria is not worth the death of Millions.
Did u watch that man's interview on NTA? Asking wat do igbos want. That shows you his mindset on igbos, he feels we disturb too much and shud be quashed with brute force. He doesn't even knw wat he is up against. My problem is this: Some igbos say they no longer want to be part of the entity called Nigeria and want a referendum, what is the wisdom in using brute force against them instead of holding talks with them? Is it until it blows up into a full war that negotiation wud be employed? I for one will no longer fold my arms and watch all these nonsense. If by 2023 nobody has restructured this country or held a Sovereign National Conference to determine if we still want to be together...

I agree that there is a lot to be done up north, however I also know that there is also a lot to be done in the fulll country. The problem with the SS and SE people. Is that they turn themselves to umpires, judges and refrees in other people's state without taking time to look inward at their own states. In the end, they will come out to scream marginalisation this and that. Please go and develop a score card for ur governors in your own state. They say charity begins at home.
Bro I have stayed in Kano and Yola, my sis served in sokoto, all the same story of extreme poverty and hunger amongst the masses. The good thing about the SS and SE is that they never wait upon their leaders or the govt to better their lives, they just go ahead and make the best use if whatever around them. I've been to most states in the SS and SE and I can tell u that it is eldorado when compared to the north. You guys shud hold all ur past governors responsible and accountable for ur woes and stop blaming GEJ that built Almajiri schools and new universities for u!!!

Ungrateful u say? So a governor serving his ppl shud be thanked and worshipped for carrying out his mandate? It's u guys mentality up north that wateva crumbs ur leaders give to u u shud be very grateful for it, this is why ur ppl are not demanding of their leaders and live in perpetual poverty hunger and disease!

U obviously donot knw my kind of person! If u do u will not say that about my dad or uncle! One of the thieves who was arrested is from my tribe! We (pple from my tribe) re all pleased with how he was dealt with! I am not an ethnic bigot! The man stole for himself and his immediate family which in no way translate into any meaningful development! At the place where I work for a FG agency, we deal with trust and money! When I got the job, I was advised by my dad not to send him stolen money! He warned me not to disgrace d family name! This is how pple shud carry themselves!
Oga, Metuh has told EFCC to charge him to court and not crucifying him in the media. He is only accused and remains innocent until proven guilty. This whole APC propaganda and media hulabaloo has gotten to u man, stop calling ppl thieves until a court of law has pronounced them guilty. As I said earlier on, the thieves so far are those who quietly returned their own cos they can't defend it. Still I'm not saying they all didn't steal, all I'm saying is that it is the court that will decide that.

u need to stand on a point bro! U say d fight is one-sided, but u failed to state ur reasons! I knw that if Dasuki was a southernan u guys wud ve accuse to President persecuting the Southernans alone! Some of u even say the president is on a vindictive mission to get at Dasuki! But u failed to see that Dasuki is jus one man and many other pple re involved as well! 2ndly, u talked about d shitty nature of our our Judiciary, but when d President attempted to manoeuvre this shitty judiciary u guy cried to high heavens! Why then re u still criticising and blaming the President? What then is ur suggestion? What do want him to do? To let d thieves be, I guess! If d President listens to pple like u, we majority of Nigerian who voted him into power will never ever 4giv him!
Ur letting sentiments and emotions becloud your judgement. I've told you that those that can't defend themselves are the thieves cos they quickly returned theirs. Trampling on human rights to get jail or convict anyone is not good for democracy. Rmbr he won't be thr forever. They shud fight corruption but while doing that every other sector of the economy needs equal attention too! The Last administration also fought corruption but not on the pages of newspaper, forget APC propaganda, they actually did. The main reason why they can't be convicted easily is cos of our laws here. Our constitution needs an overhaul bro cos with it we can't fight corruption in nigeria. Meanwhile I will never support the use of excessive powers to trample upon fundamental human rights be it for a poor man or a rich man. I think you have the PHD (pull him down) symdrome cos the ppl being named are all big men hence u feel they shud all be punished without regards for the judicial processes needed to do same. If Metuh was ur dad or uncle u won't be saying all this. I still don't support any of these politicians cos they all rogues, but finding anyone guilty is still within the purview of a competent court of law and not Buhari's.

Ur post reeks of an unsettled mind! If u agree that they re all thieves why didn't u talk about u pple's baseless support for the thieves! This is simply d point! Talk about d sinking ship, the admins clamp down on d thieves is not wat is sinking d ship! What is sinking d ship re the past activities of d thieves u pple are giving a round of applause! We (majority) of Nigerians are in full support of d president's war on corruption! The war is not what is sinking d ship! U call d them perceived enemies but I and majority of Nigerians call them thieves! Say what u like but we voted PMB for him to help hunt down d thieves! And that's exactly what he is doing!
Well I don't think ppl are supporting Metuh or anything. what ppl are saying is that the one sided fight cannot yield the desired results. The fight against corruption should be holistic and systemic, not this thing EFCC is doing now. Trust me bro, it's just a waste of tym, they won't find most of them guilty cos the law is an ass...

A thief? You got a brain right? We need someone to steer it out of this mess, and it's not by all this rubbish. Now in all of this has anyone been jailed? The real thieves are those who quickly returned the moneys, they can't defend themselves in court. Those that can, do u expect them to cower because it's buhari? You spoke like a coward, are u one?

Joarams:
It's a shame that almost everyone reading this post is commenting the same way. Since when have we lost the act of reading and understanding constructs in this nation? or are we merely being sarcastic? Are we simply looking for an excuse to nail the APC and its chairman? My understanding of the statement is clear and I don't see how he blames God. It's a simple statement of retrospection. To me, saying that 'God' has a hand in the current economic situation is no different than saying 'Nature' has a way of correcting its mistakes...e.g. as Malthusian theorists accept.
Bros no be u get sense pass everybody. Look at it 8n one sentence: He said God may have used it to let us know we need a radical economic change, meaning God effectively caused it. This is also a deviation from the usual story of how the last administration looted blindly and hence they squandered all our resources (for gullible fools who wud believe) so why won't ppl comment in the same vein? And if he is sincere, your president that is, how come he just threw away the recommendations of the last National Conference? Theirein lies the beginning of the solution to our challenges as an entity. It's either we split or we restructure the entity such that every state has something to bring to the table. The senate and HOR also needs to be pruned down into one house. The aforementioned are just 2 of the many wonderful recommendations, but ur Sai baba just called it bunkum. If after this administration the next one doesn't do either of those, I my lead my own Biafran movement too... Dnt doubt me...

They were advised to withdraw at different semesters. It's not even about carrying over course, since we were pruned every semester. The 18 that graduated included those with extra year+carry overs. So only 12 graduated at the right time, the other 6 graduated the following year.

One issue I noticed in my Engineering Physics class back then was:

Some students were skilled in electrical engineering courses while they were bad in mechanics.

Some were good in nuclear engineering, but bad in Statistical engineering and computation.

some were skilled in materials engineering but bad in medical physics courses.

To study in physics or Engineering Physics, you have to be good in most of the Physics/chemistry/maths + engineering disciplines, and dynamic, or be able to strike a balance between the different fields in the program.

Unfortunately, my course didn't focus on astronomy.
i had a colleague that went on to study astronomy at masters level though. He now works for a financial coy in the US.

Even though the course was extremely difficult, i loved it still. I know that nothing is impossible for some one with a background in physics to overcome. I had professors that were electrical engineers, nuclear Physicists, materials engineers, mathematical physicists, geophysicists e.t.c

Physics is for the brilliant minds.
Ur last statement is indisputable, with all due respect to every course out thr. Kindly follow back sir...

For the engineering physics course, the class was 88 at freshman year, only 12 eventually graduated.

Formats? All these courses have theories too.‎
Well being a physicist myself I insist that cramming can't get u a 2, 1. You have to understand the basics and work from there up. Even the theories are usually to explain physical phenomena mostly not definitions. Moreover, nobody wud ask you definition in exams, at least not in UNN of my days. Cramming is not learning though u will definitely pour our wat u crammed. But what if questions are twisted in other ways than u know from ur cramming? Cramming has too many disadvantages and you won't be learning what ur supposed to. And I concur that 2, 1 may give u more opportunities not that it increases ur chance of getting a job cos trust me even if u go for a job test as a fresh graduate, u'll be tested in GMAT with your fellow 2, 1 graduates and if u don't know ur onions nothing for you. 2, 1 these days has become even as common as 2, 2.
