^^^I'll take that to mean you're not from Lagos then! So why are you so concerned about a Nigerian building a house in any part of Nigeria? Do Yorubas only own property in their own states of origin? Should we assume by your post that Yoruba don't own property in the UK or US?....Or is your angst that IGBOS own property in Lagos? I'm just trying to understand your way of thinking!

Is it the governor that sent the flood that he is threatening suiside. Let him better ask God that gave him grace the first time to still do same rather than crying like a tahtah

the owner of the house must commit the suicide. is he okay? and nairalanders are here talking and blaming the government. ask yourself,can one day or even a week flood cause this terrible thing? the flood must have been eating on the house gradually over the years and he will keep hoping government will help him. when you can afford a big house like this how come you can't build a drainage system in your frontage? and over the years why didnt you do something before it get this worse.

Anyway, he should fill the gully with borders(big stones) and create a channel( with good retaining walls) and direct the runoff towards his house to a nearby canal or catchment area.

After that, he can go ahead and kill himself, knowing he left something being for his offsprings...
