My Laptop, a Dell 500 window vista will not display any information on it screen after pushing the star button.
The screen remain blank while the power is on.

Pls help me

I hv encounterd this problem several times where d laptop or desktop is clearly on bt nothing shows up on d screen (i mean nothing). I think d problem is caused wen d sys cannot boot 4rm d ram b4 moving 2 d harddisk. I alwayz solve it by removing & putting back d ram & 1s by removing & putting back d battery. I hope dis helps

Your precious laptop needs medical check and I am available for it. Less discuss outside the screen.

@ nonoy, u got that right,i once had an experience, i changed d faulty ram.

reinstall windows - its the black screen of frustration, a nasty nvidia issue. if you are dual booting, running chkdsk from the other OS may work. . .

i tink he shud remove & put bk d ram & batry 1st lets c wat happens b4 reinstallin windows tho reinstallation may b d definite solution

Kai these people  The problem is the UXGA or flex cable. It has cut, take the laptop to a repair shop and just tell them to replace the flex, they will do it for you in a few minutes.

To confirm that this is the problem. Connect a desktop monitor to your laptop. If the desktop monitor displays anything, then it has been proven that there is nothing wrong with your laptop, the only thing is that the UXGA Flex cable connecting the monitor to the laptop has cut. Have it serviced immediately.

Dont let them cheat you , at first they will probably tell you 10,000, buy you can get it fixed for 4000

@ last poster, who d Bleep are u? @ real-poster, check ur ram first, if problem persists, slave ur harddisk to another pc 2 c if it can be read from. try get back to us on d forum after u must have tried it out.
