Do they really pay IT students? I have always head speculations about that, yet from my first year until my fourth year when I actually carried-out my IT and graduated a year after till date, I have not met anyone (including myself) who claimed he/she has been paid.

Its always the same old stories.... THEY HAVE PAID SOME PEOPLE. So then, who and where are these some people that we can't meet by face?

I have always suspected that the people at the helm of affairs of SIWES are responsible for this propaganda as a way of protecting their reputation.

yep dey do pay d money but after a long period usually 2 yrs. futa students dat did dia IT in 2013 were paid in february 2015, dia is probability dat those that did dia IT in 2014 will be paid in jan/feb 2016

1. Your school graduated 2 sets in 2015
set A in February and set B in October

2. most guys from Set A went with A15 and B15

3. The person below didn't go with them and didn't even registered at all

4. None of October 2015 graduate is on the list yet.

5. The Guy probably spilled over 1st semester to grad in February and you guys ended up finishing 2nd semester in October because of strike.

what do they mean by ( On no account should prospective corps members register by PROXY)and the off white criterial for taking Passport?.. Pls need answer..

They do, atleast I know many of my friends that were paid but that was in 2013 for those that did theirs between 2009 and 2013. And here, two people 'Themmy90' and one other guy here both from ABU said they were paid yesterday.

This suggest that SIWES is regionally selective. Back here in unical, that is just an illusion

NYSC uses the DOB from jamb only.
IF YOU HAVE YOUR AGE LESS THAN 30 ON THE DOB WRITTEN ON YOUR WAEC RESULT, THEN YOU ONLY NEED TO SPEND #300 ONLY FOR A WAEC OR NABTEB SCRATCH CARD FROM FIRST BANK DURING REGISTRATION TO CORRECT IT OR LEAVE IT THAT WAY AND INPUT THE CORRECT DATE IN CAMP WHILE FILLING OUT FORMS.

BUT IF THE DOB PORTRAYS YOU TO BE ABOVE 30 AS AT THE TIME OF GRADUATION, THEN SORRY BRO, EXEMPTION LETTER AWAITS YOU.

IF HOWEVER, YOU HAVE A NECO RESULT THAT DOESN'T CARRY DOB, THEN YOU COULD EXPLAIN THINGS TO YOUR DEAN DSA AND YOU COULD BE ASK TO PAY A TOKEN THAT WOULD BE USED TO CONTACT JAMB FOR IF YOU GO YOURSELF, IT WOULD NEVER BE DONE FOR YOU.

still happened to me someone that knows, should pls reply. And also on my birth cert. I have frankline but on all my other cert. I had franklyn. Any problem with that.

PROXY means present yourself in person for your finger prints to be captured and if your passport is via Webcam, ensure it is your photography that is captured

OFF-WHITE means any other Colour but not white and black.

BUT IT IS ADVISABLE YOU TAKE WHITE BACKGROUND PASSPORT ONLY ie make WHITE CLOTH DEY YOUR BACK WHEN YOU SIT DON TO TAKE THE PASSPORT

Do not tell sumone else to register for you, do it urself. U av to thumbprint
Offwhite is more like a pale white, its duller than a brilliant white according to paints. Do not take ur passport with dat background even if dey tell u it's d same thing. Make sure its a real white background. Thank you
