The death of a child is a very painful and traumatic experience for parents, siblings, friends and family, believe it or not every minute a child under-5years old dies in Nigeria and every minute some family are in sorrow. What is more painful is that many of this deaths are preventable, so you can do something. So what can you do?
You can help advocate the use of immunization, when next you see a mother and her baby after greeting and asking after the welfare of the family the very next thing please ask the mother about her baby and immunization, ask how old the baby is and inform the mother about how many times the baby should have received immunization. I have attached an image of the schedule to guide us.

Many Mothers never immunize there children and surprising many mothers start but don't complete the Immunization. A mother is expected to vaccinate her child at Birth, 6weeks, 10weeks, 14weeks, 6months and 9months at the very least.

These simple actions can help save lives and prevent so much more despair

3. And so 91 Under 5 die every hour (2,191/24)
4. Finally an under 5 every minute (91/60)
