For those who think the figure is inflated or otherwise... This pastor is the president not the owner. His tenure will end and a new one will be elected. The church isn't run by one man.
This is the most widely spread church in north-eastern Nigeria. So, 8000 is highly believable... Unless You don't know that there are more christians in the Northeast that there are in whole north.

This number is believable people. This church is the largest church in the whole of North East. They have members in excess of 125,000 in the country. It was formed by the missionaries in 1923. Over 70% of the Christians in the North East are members of the EYN church.

It's one of the biggest Orthodox churches in North East.
