Pastor Anita Oyakhilome, the wife of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, has finally opened up about her rumoured marital troubles.
Pastor Anita Oyahilome, a mother of two, filed for a divorce from her pastor husband, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy and Loveworld ministries in April 2014.

She filed for divorce on the grounds of adultery and ‘unreasonable behaviour’ and has remained silent since then.
The pastor who now goes by her maiden name, Ebhodaghe has now spoken up for the first time about the divorce through her blog and her post suggests she may have suffered abuse from her ex-husband.

In the post she said: "Let nothing stop you from growing every day. My story is not one of a bed of roses, far from it but I had a choice to either beat myself over the regret of tolerating abuse for so long or put a stop to the abuse and recreate my life for the best. My journey was not in vain. I can now help others realise that their situation does not define them."

The divorce which was filed at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn, London, United Kingdom caught most observers by surprise.

Pastor Chris’ take

Earlier this year when rumours about the divorce hit the internet, Pastor Chris responded to media reports saying that “I heard that some media houses, especially in Nigeria are writing some things against me. All sorts of frivolous charges, that’s crazy. You have to understand something about a man of God. A man of God is not just someone who worships God or preaches God. A man of God is handpicked by God, set on course by God. If you study the scriptures, you will not find one man of God go against God, sinning against God.”

According to him, "If a man of God is married, it doesn’t automatically mean that the wife of a man of God is therefore a woman of God. That’s not the way it is in the Bible."

Media reports suggested that Pastor Chris had been making efforts to avoid divorce in the hopes that his wife would eventually have a change of mind but she did not.

Guys before you crucify OLAADEGBU, take some time out to watch this video of Pst. Anita addressing a group of people during her Mums 70th birthday. A lot was silently communicated in her speech to clear any doubts about the blog. She even mentioned that even if she puts up a blog with her picture in it, a lot of people will still doubt she is the one. also note in the video that her wedding ring is conspicuously missing from her finger; google up older videos of her and you'd see her wearing her wedding ring.
