Igbos To Learn How Education Works In Ondo State. by htconeline: 10:49am On Aug 25, 2015
The Ondo State University of Medical Science will commence academic activities in October, 2015, starting with the admission of Direct Entry students while students will be admitted into 100 level through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in 2016.

The state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dayo Adeyanju, said this on Monday in an interview with newsmen in Akure, the state capital.

Adeyanju said arrangements had been concluded for the beginning of academic activities in the specialised institution.

He explained that the government had provided needed equipment for the school, for the use of the students while the Medical Village in Ondo, which comprised different specialised hospitals, would be specifically used as the students’ teaching hospital.

The commissioner added, “We are adequately ready for the academic business in the Ondo State University of Medical Science. The admitted Direct Entry students will automatically start from 200 Level. The students will start attending classes in October while the students to 100 level will be admitted through UTME next year.

“The equipment are ready, the administrative staff are already on the ground and have started working on the smooth take-off. I am very sure there will not be any problem as far as the take-off of the school is concerned .”

Meanwhile, the state government has said it spends N2bn annually as subvention on the four higher institutions of learning in the state as it spends N500m on each of the institutions.

The four higher institutions are the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa, Ondo State University of Medical Science, Ondo and Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.

The state Commissioner for Education, Mr. Jide Adejuyigbe, stated this in his office in Akure, while playing host to his Ebonyi State counterpart, Prof. John Eke, who led the team of officials of the Ministry of Education on a courtesy visit.

Adejuyigbe said the state government was committed to ensure the state offered the best qualitative education at all levels to the students, explaining that the tertiary institutions in the state charged the lowest school fees compare to others in the country.

He added, “We spent N500m on each of our tertiary institutions annually and the schools support the subvention with the internally generated revenue so as to give out the best to our students.

“We also encourage our lecturers to go further in their post-graduate courses and we have been getting results of all these encouragements. For instance, AAUA is the best state university in Nigeria as I am talking to you . RUGiPO is the best state polytechnic in Nigeria and third in Africa.”

Ebonyi State Commissioner for Education, Prof. John Eke, said he and his team came to understudy Ondo State’s education sector, a visit he believed would assist the new administration in his state.

Eke, who described Ondo State as a benchmark of governance in Nigeria, said that what had learnt in Ondo would be put into use in Ebonyi.

He commended the Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, for the landmark achievements he had recorded in the education sector

My people has turn the sophisticated odua nation to laughing stock...they have shown the world that they are weaklings and O'yes to the Hausa / Fulani muslims. ..it is shame that my sophisticated and progressive people are a bunch of confused people who have no aspiration whatsoever. ..

It seems musiwa and I are the only brave people among our kins. ...musiwa want a western nigeria and I want a sophisticated and progressive Odu'a. ..but my coward folks want to keep being slaves to their Hausa / Fulani masters. ..

Let us that agitating for odua republic where there be no ibos, where lagos will not be no man's land...yorubas wake up. ...we can't remain cowards

The situation here is quite different from that of Fayose who sent your jobless youths to Aba to learn trade. Some of them might not be able to grab the trade they went to learn at the end of the day. Dont console yourselves o.

Aba and umuahia are two outstanding towns in your gully erosion and they both prove that flaaaatheads are dirty. These two towns are not just dirty, they are award winners in dirtiness. So, flaaathead what are you talking about? I will be glad if all Igbo's can move back to their gully erosion, then you will see how fast you will turn every town in biafla to pig homes the same way you have done in aba. Igbo's are award winners in dirtiness.
And for your info, your governor actually stooop that low. He has applied to ondo state government to learn about adecation programs. Stop feeling superior, flaaaathead. You are not superior to anybody. If you are superior, you and your family will not be staying in the southwest. You can only foool yourself and no one else. IGBOS ARE THE DIRTIEST PEOPLE IN AFRICA.

Go to aba and compare aba to other towns in southwest. Then you will know that you Igbo's are worse than pigs. You are so dirty that you don't deserve a place in a zoo.

Igbo's are confirmed slaves of Hausa. That is why you all dumped apga, an Igbo party and vote for PDP, an almanjiri party. You are not only slaves to Hausa, you are also slaves to Yoruba; that is why you voted against ekwueme and ojukwu and voted instead for obasanjo, a Yoruba man. IMO state is presently been ruled by a Hausa/Yoruba party. So you flaaaatheads are the real salves to both Yoruba and Hausa. For your information, Yoruba men are the ones calling the shot in kwara. Do you know someone called Bukola saraki? Do you know someone called dele belgore? They are all Yoruba and they rule kwara. The emir is just a figurehead and nothing more.

1) lagos is one of the dirtiest city in the world aba is much more better
let alone other sw towns... (https://www.nairaland.com/403887/lagos-indeed-dirtiest-city)

2)Igbos can never be hausa slaves the last election can attest to that, buhari know how hot it was during his campaign...
the real slaves are Yoruba's. remember they were recently complaining being shortchanged in the polity after being used as usual by their masters in the recent election. inec can attest to that.

3)Igbos are originally and presently slave to no one... saying that they are slaves to Yoruba is just ironic and exaggerated.
this can only dwell in fantasy land... lets hope there is one.(keep hoping because there is none)

4)we didn't vote for obasanjo we voted our kind that made Ojukwu(great Hero in Igbo land) a second runner-up.
and you should agree with me that assuming Yoruba fielded a presidential candidate as of last election Igbos will ignore him. same applies in future elections... (I guess you are scared)
same doesn't apply to you cheats, that's why tinubu was used and was thrashed like a usual slave he is and is meant to be...

5)keep dragging saraki who officially said he isn't Yoruba... hehehe nah you go tire

6) what else again rather than Yoruba's being dirty, cowards and are causing nuisance in the country and its media...
