On this, i stand wit buhari 100%. Wat is going on in custom is an organised fraud and smuggling dat needs an honest and tenacious outsider to fix. Promoting anyone within d ranks wuld have bn same of same. Buhari was spot on with dat. Reform nnpc, firs, npa and customs and see nigeria's revenue soar high. 6 Likes 1 Share |

He should have appointed outsiders to head the Army, Airforce & Navy, after all they are all corrupt and unprofessional. 1 Like |

Career Progression is the least of the issues plaguing the Nigerian Customs. 3 Likes |

All the buharist see this from the perspective of corruption. To them everyone in customs are corrupt except the outsider brought in by buhari. So what is the colonel going to do without the officers on ground. Why don't we have an outsider as military chief. Or is corruption not in the military? Foolishness everywhere. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

IdisuleOurOwn: If we must stop corruption, then federal character has to stop too. Why would someone in anambra have to score 139 to get admission to a federal school where someone from yobe would only have to score 10 to get admitted? 1 Like |

Bobbystanley: Foolishness is doing things the same way and expecting to see a difference. Desperate times call for desperate measures. We have one of the world's most corrupt Customs Services, so clearly, keeping the status quo will change nothing. If we need to hire an aerospace engineer to straighten it out, so be it. 3 Likes |

An ex soldier becoming head of custom Can an ex custom officer become chief of Army staff??Makes no sense to me but I guess he wants someone he can trust. I don't blame him, thieves are everywhere in Nigeria. A different way of thinking is so necessary. .....no more business as usual. |

shegxi: U need to get objective. What will one good man achieve in the midst of 99 corrupt people? This appointment tells us that no single person has integrity in the custom. So will the newly appointed be in the office and field? As a matter of fact this appointment will only encourage them to get deeper in their corrupt practice as there is nothing up there for anyone. Also what about appointing a retired police IG to head the military (COAS), A medical doctor as his pilot and an engineer as governor to cbn. Brother, PMB is wrong on this. Let's let him know when he is right and wrong. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Outsider Emerging Customs Boss Rubbishes Career Progression – Group Tells Buhari by akindeleadeolu: 11:54am On Aug 29, 2015 |
I honestly believe not all Customs officers are corrupt, PMB should have look more inwards before bringing a total novice to come oversee such sensitive govt agency as custom whose operations is more professional.Mr President advisers are doing a bad job for now. This appointment should immediately be reversed to prevent the sartity of the custom profession. |

The President is corrupt for using is own man as custom boss, get it to ur dry skull. 1 Like |
