[size=14pt] Bomb Scare at St.Charles Lwanga Catholic Church, Adeke, Naka Road, Makurdi. [/size] There was pandemonium at St.Charles Lwanga Catholic Church, Adeke, Naka Road, Makurdi, when an explosive devise was discovered in the Church, during the Second mass of the day. An eye witness reported that the incident happened when worshippers trooped into the Church for the second mass of the day, after the first morning mass had finished. The panic led to worshippers running out of the Church building for safety. The bomb however, did not explode, as the attention of Men of the Bomb Disposal Unit of the State's Police Command arrived the scene of the incidence to detonate the Bomb before explosion. They also confirmed that it was actually a bomb. Source: An eye witness. Below is the picture of the explosive.

God be praised. Trying to imagine how those worshippers will praise/thank God today for their lives. Expect enough yams, goats, bags of rice etc from them by the next sunday. People going for thanksgiving go boku. You can confirm from my fellow South-Easterners. |
