The best Governor in Yorubaland and future Yoruba leader in the making. I just love this man!
Wake up from your sleep. Fayose's influence starts and ends in the smallest state in the SW,Ekiti..let him enjoy it while it lasts.

The picture does not look like he subjected them to anyany inhuman and degrading treatment... The workers were wrong for coming late and as typical yorouber folks that lie on the ground when they greet elders, they gesticulated to seek for pardon....

At least the man is working... It is the non chalant and I do not care attitude of Nigeria government worker that has led to the closure of many government offices like NITEL... How do you expect them to be productive if they comes to work late? They should learn from companies like MTN, that would have sacked them a long time ago.. A company built on profit making will sack you straight.

For there to be CHANGE, heads has to fall

Well said boss and to think this coming from MUSA IBRAHIM

The twisted headline did not achieve its purpose of painting Gov Fayose black. We all know how nigerians especially the yoruba's take to their kneels as mark of respect or show of remorse when guilty.

There are some people that will never see anything good in whatever fayose did if every governor has been doing this there would have been in the attitude of our civil servants, ekiti is one of the states that pay their workers as at when due then why cant the workers reciprocate the good gesture with diligence

First point of being not humiliated by anyone irrespective of your position where you work is to always do that which is right and not being caught doing what's all wrong.

Their job is out stake here. If you want to come late to work, dont try that on monday except you are a chronic late comer. The Gov shud hv mercy because dey showed remorse for their action and i'm certain they wont repeat such.

Poverty and economic woes have made Nigerians to idolize those in authority.
You won't be surprised why the quest for power in this country is always a do or die affair. Power makes your elders, younger generation and even your haters to cow at the mention of your name or on sighting your presence.
Fayose might never have asked anyone to kneel or prostrate but the glory in his position as a governor gave the intimidating order. Imagine people soiling their best clothing's to get the governor's pardon.

These prostrating guys might never have done same in their various places of worship for a very long time now.
Do what you have to, to shame poverty!!

i wonder when we would throw away all these barbaric beliefs and way of life.

Lateness is mainly as a result of low motivation to work , lack of interest in the job or no point in resuming early for a non existent job description.

the biggest companies that do really well are more result oriented (getting your job done in a timely manner)than practice oriented (resuming early to work).

Thay can as well resign this job inline with your reasons above.
And go work for the biggest companies.

Why do they receive salary?

They love to humiliate the "weak" in society. Those workers are not even paid on time. This is not to support lateness but the reality is that robbing someone of their dignity for something as minor lateness is beyond the pall.

Of course, it could be that they were threatened with disciplinary proceedings and they are simply begging for mercy but knowing Nigeria, I won't put it beyond a Governor to ask workers to kneel down.

I am sure you are a late comer too.

So if they are begging not to be subjected to disciplinary proceedings that means the Gov asked them to knee and prostrate.

So they should had forced there way into the office or go back home when they were rebuked for coming late? If he had suspended them or punished them, you would ve preferred that? So Amosun that compelled the civil service commission to sack civil servants because they set a certain comprehension passage in the exam is better than Fayose. Sycophants everywhere.
