MOST married men with kids behave irresponsible these days, likewise women. Some even RAPE kids like we see on nairaland everyday.

Getting married can be frightening to both women and men and the fear has nothing to do with sex. The thing is marrying someone that is not right for you can turn your life to a nightmare. Being stuck with the same person and no way of getting out if you're the type against divorce. It could be hard to relate with someone completely opposite and incompatible with you for the rest of your life. So marriage could be a dangerous game especially when you're playing with the wrong person. But it can also be the sweetest thing when you marry a man/woman who makes you feel complete and satified. Who would make you feel like going home in the afternoon when you're at work and who you can share all your secrets and burdens with. Who could dry your tears while you sad and make you smile. That's how it is when you've found someone that you love and who loves you back unconditionally and then the urge of keeping this person next to you for the rest of your life wouldn't be scary but rather exciting. After the attractive body and the beautiful face has gone what would remain is the love and enjoying each others company and that could keep someone happy for a lifetime.
The thing about most players and anti-marriage people is that they fail to see the future. When you're sixty and the last thing on your mind is sex and most if not all your friends are married and you're alone in your house with no kids or a companion to lean on and nothing but a phonebook of all the people you've banged who are probably also married and forgotton all about you, you then come to realise the grave mistake you make when you had the chance but then it would be too late and when the time comes you die alone, childless with no immediate family who would be responsible for your body but it falls in the hands of one distant relative or friend who dosent really care. But at least you had a wonderful sex life and five different STDs so that can compensate everything

Your reasons are well absorbed and I think I can relate very well with you. The fact that you don't want to settle down and get caged by the prison marriage is understood and apprehended quite alright.

However , with time your notion will change . You'll get to understand what life stands for as the advanced social animal that you are. That life is way bigger, grandiose and outrightly complex than the way you perceive it to be.
That its more complex than your thoughts can ever see or your sentences can ever express. That our fathers and forefathers weren't at all stupid when they adopted marriage .
That it wasn't that their hormones suddenly shut down or that they didn't want to be free like a wild horse too...
Just few years for life to teach you about himself using agents like family , society , experience and responsibility.
Then, nobody will teach you why you need to marry. Either to be mono or polygamous will just be a matter of choice or circumstance.
