After all the NOISE in the media about getting the refineries to work in full capacity earlier than the 2016 target set by the last administration, reality has dawned on them. Some of us knew all the while that the repairs of the refineries will continue into 2016 and even beyond.

But besides all the noise about fixing existing refineries, which of course was started by the GEJ govt, what is the current govt's policy in the oil sector? I think that should have been a priority for this govt and should have been one of it's achievements in the last 100 days. But of course, that was not the case as the last 100 days was wasted

Even when there is not to criticize you guys must criticize. Even when the refineries are in full operation, nigeria must import fuel. In full operation, the refineries can never produce enough to serve the domestic consumption.

The problem is that most of us are dumb and can't see beyond hate. In the past, this country depended solely on imported pms. The refineries were not working at all. Today we are just importing a fraction to augment. There was no time this government promised that the refineries will immediately start functioning at full or optimal capacity. While the functioning capacity is not yet optimal, they have to import to make up. This is no news. This country has saved a lot in the last 31 days from subsidy. What I'm eagerly waiting for is a drop in price of pms

#100WastedDays My Foot! Useless time limits!
---
How come you didn't say #50WastedDays when it was 50 days too? What if Nigeria finally becomes what you want it to be when PMB is left with just one week to finish serving his tenure?
---
My point is: let us allow the man do his job! We all know the rot he met assuming office! Setting the foundation right is key to making things work!
---
Critics are like: he is probing this and that [he'd probably do that for his whole 4year tenure], no formulation of policies alongside, he can mandate other people or activate our already existing agencies [EFCC, ICPC etc] for probe and he then can focus more on formulation of policies, Bla Bla Bla

It's very possible the refineries are failing because they didn't allow the completion of the rehabilitation. They wanted to quickly take the glory. Now the refineries may even become worst than they met it.

lemme lecture you, get a seat, biro and note

1. the refineries were working but not to full capacity
2. Jan 2012 After some irregularities were found by GEJ with regards to fuel subsidy, he opted for removal of the subsidy
3. Nigerians who were not well informed joined the lying liars to protest.
4. GEJ who was bent on removing the subsidy to curb fraud, asked the minister of petroleum to revamp the refineries.
5. The minister contracted the job to the original builders of the refineries
6. the contractor's BOQ was too high
7. The minster suggested that instead of spending that much on old refineries, it should be sold out, money raised and new ones built
8. NLC rejected the idea of selling the refineries.
9. since the refineries were not sold, the proposal for 3 new refineries were stalled due to lack of funds.
10. GEJ who was bent on stopping payment of fuel subsidy, asked that a solution be found.
11. The solution found was giving the contract to local firm early 2014.
12. Oct, 2014 , spare parts procurement was completed and revamping started
13. July 2015, revamping completed for PH and Warri refineries
14. August 2015 Warri refinery broke down again, and Kachikwu suggested that the refineries be sold but Buhari objected
15 Sept, 2015, After everything done the refineries are still not producing at full capacity
