New York City Police arrested a teacher today after a drone he was flying crashed into the arena at the US Open

Daniel Verley was picked up by the Police after his drone crashed into the stands of one of the courts in Louis Amstrong stadium. No one was in the stands but the 26 year old was still taken in and has been charged with reckless endangerment and operating a drone in a public park outside of a prescribed area. Flavia Pennetta who was playing at the time of the crash, described hearing the drone fly by, not knowing what it was and fearing the worst. Officials released a statement declaring that no one was injured in the incident and the culprit had been arrested.
