The Catholics bow to images. Non-Catholics if you send your child to the Catholic boarding house,they might try to make them bow to images,pray to Mary etc.

Plus I watched a video of someone who had a supernatural visitation and Mary was unhappy and said she was only a vessel.
Guys be careful of whoever appears to you like an apparition of Mary. Remember that 2 Corinthians
13For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.
Indeed 1 John 4:1 -Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Plus Matthew 23:9-And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.I think it might mean a spiritual father Like Father in Catholic Church

They bowed down to it because the tangible presence of the Lord was upon the Mercy Seat. It was so tangible, that someone died touching it. And God spoke to Moses from the Mercy Seat. So they were bowing down to God and not the ark itself.

The statues we have today has no mercy seat and has no Presence.

Op, who told u dat Catholics bow down to images? Anyways i didn't even read the novel u wrote. As for the exodus whatever u put down there , i guess u ve not even handled a catholic bible, cos i knw its the only bible with the complete books. We are in a new dispensation.

The NT never said we should bow down to statues or have faith for statues.

The question is, what do you gain from bowing down to statues?

And BTW, If you study the matter, you will find that the golden cherubim on the Ark were normally located in what was called the holy of holies, the innermost apartment of the Hebrew Sanctuary. Because they covered the lid of the Ark, known as the mercy seat, these were known as "covering cherubim". Only the Jewish high priest was ever allowed to enter this room, and then only on one day of each year, the Day of Atonement. Search the scriptures and you will find that the high priest was never instructed to bow down to these statues of cherubim or to pray to the angels in heaven that they represented.
