pipeandhole:It exactly a combination of both, there's this Mobile Tv application that will be installed on your phone, and the SU-33W Nokia Mobile Tv receiver is the hardware, which could be reffered to as the 'antenna' for the DVBH signal reception. This has nothing to do with internet or 3G status of the phone. All you just need to find out is your handset compatibility. OR if you can afford to buy the N96 which already has a built in receiver and the tv software. |

@Wilfem.A classmate of mine has the N96,but he is under utilizing it.when i just handle the phone and navigate thru the Nokia map,come see dey way his GPS pick signal one touch(full bar).The phone is not even h.a.c.k.e.d.He doesn't have softwares.i told him about this DSTV software and he really picked interest |

@ Honsule, All your friend need to do is to insert his Mtn sim into the N96, then navigate to the Mobile tv application, then use Mtn Access to connect to their subscription server to subscribe, which is free though. After that, the enjoyment is on the go. |

@all one thing u should know about the su-33w tv receiver device is that it pick up signal faster than any phone that has the inbuilt,u can sell off ur phone and get a better one or another one that is compatible with the device,i have done my home workby using a friends n96 ,i was in at my friends place in luth,in his own room the reception there was poor so he had to take his phone near his window and stood there,but on my own case, i only have to put the receiver near his window and lie down comfortably to enjoy my dstv,because the receiver stands as an antenna or dish and it connects to my phone via bluetooth.i have already sold all,so if any body is still interested i can still order on time b4 all shops go on christmas holiday in the UK |

Someone should tell this DStv Mobile to please allow us to add further channels to this thing. Any way I'm happy that this yeye Big Brother Africa had finished yesterday and the channel had been automatically removed from my phone. I just hope and wish they do something so that we can get better and more channels, even if we'll have to be paying/subscribe for them |

@Ttdiamonds u do not need the mtn dstv sim for it to work on your phone,which model of phone are u using ?how do u want me to send the software to u when i dont have your email address? @wilfem we need to keep complaining to mtn for more channels,i believe they will listen to us,i have sent them emails about it but if they receive huge emails,they will listen,all the same i am still enjoying mine,i sold the last receiver yesterday and i can only order for more if i see serious people that needs it,used nokia n73 in lagos is about 12 to 15k and the reciver is about 25k which is about40k compared to n96 fairly used which is about 55k or 60k |
