the bow was too much. he should have prostrated totally then.

a close look at this picture however, shows the level of servitude Nigerians have had to endure. if a leader will have to bow so low for a woman

Good, very good and proudly Nigerian and African. We are a people who value respect for one another and our superiors who may not necessarily be older. That is tact. That is wisdom. It secures good order in the society!!!

I don't know, neither do I care about those comments up there, but I would say he's done good by portraying the cultural norms of the africans. Thats how we greet and we've gotta keep it real. Whites are spoilt and thats why a kid can shut his father up and get away with it. Must we always copy them? And for crying out loud, she's a queen! We needed independence! Haven't you heard that quote 'NEVER OUTSHINE YOUR MASTER' OR NEVER ACT LIKE YOU ARE BIGGER THAN (HER)? Abeg to me he did the right thing any African should do. And no, I'm not Hausa. I'M AN UN-TRIBALISTIC YORUBA.

So you have not seen all these quotes and worse recorded interviews of Ahmadu Bello before?

And you will also join discussions here on NL claiming to know all about 9ja? And most likely also a graduate? And you still don't know of North's avowed intent according to Bello's philosophy? Haba!

Maybe you're not alone and that's why some people in SW keep dreaming and refuse to wake up.

And you still wonder why GMB quickly ran to grandson aged Cameron just after election? The North has always just wanted to control.

No general idea of a united, tolerant and diverse nation as Zik and Awo and followers wanted.

Sure some individual Northerners differ and are progressive but they are powerless against the avowed position of the North.

Did you notice that some few months prior to the general elections a powerful Northern delegates that comprises of politicians, technocrats , academics and Islamic hardliners was sent to Washington and as soon as they came back the West started talking about how bad the Government is and this boils down to one thing - Jonathan's romance with China didn't go down well with Washington and the last thing Jonathan wanted was for the East and the West to open another proxy war front in African most populous nation.

He wasn't ready to run the country like a mob leader - Deal with some perceived trouble makers from every part of the country thereby sending a message to the West that there is a new gang leader in town who's ready to do and undo instead he was running with the mentality of a minority.
Do the shiit , go to bed with the West , romance China still and still be king but nature and culture is against us - we simply do not know how to lick boots while biding your time.I guess someone learnt a bitter lesson from Jonathan.

The colonial abominations called countries arranged in Berlin in 1885 were created for one aim, which is EXPLOITATION of the blacks to better the lots of the Caucasians, that remains the sole aim of these abominations (countries)even today.

Our conditions won't change if we continue to go to bed with the west, as the west exploitation agenda is not a hidden one.

GEJ licking the boots of Caucasian masters would only better his lot and those of his immediate family members, it would never lift the majority of the Nigerian masses out of the poverty trap.

To uplift the living standard of our people, we need the emergence of real nations and not colonial abominations, only real nations can resist exploitation by the west and her imposed puppets masquerading as our leaders, colonial abominations stand no chance as they were fundamentally created to yield to exploitation since they mostly lack unity of purpose.

You're very right but sometimes you just need to play along and you also forgot where I said ''while biding your time'' there are some arrangements you don't fight because they will do anything to cut you to sizes - You go close enough and destroy it from the inside.
I hope you got the message.
