it is easier for a criminal or an offender to go free in the hands of Benin police, than for an innocent person to go free, and they will make sure dey milk the innocent more, and if u refused to pay ur family will pay through their nose, wen dem don knack one allegation for ur head for free, and if ur family refuses to pay many end up in Oko Prison

at least and offender or a criminal did something wrong, negotiating with the police it’s even is an advantage to the offender

what happens when you are innocent, your only crime is riding on a cab alone, or been a road user via public bus or taxi

Benin police are one of the notorious in this country, but bcus our people like to pay and don’t share their stories is the main reason people still think Benin police don’t have problem

this is an issue i really don’t want to discuss bcus those musters are good for nothing.

and fr thr number of checks points, on my road alone u can have up to 4 police checking points

from my area to that of my mum i can go through 8 police check points

from my area to my church i can go through 5-6 check points and among them is the notorious IRT, IRT na cab and flashy cars dem dey after

Okay coming back to this I'll say I won't criticise or talk down on somebody's business because I don't know what they go through making that business stay afloat especially in this obodo Nigeria. The only people to blame is buhari and his geng. grin

First and foremost, I believe dealing with a cooperate or financial institution is far better than dealing with an individual base on my previous post on this subject matter.

Looking at it this way, remember it's an asset loan,
1. You decide the type of car and amount, therefore, you indirectly determine the total amount to be paid.

2. You are sure of what you're buying unlike the personal owner partner who go buying any kind of car weather it's salvage or not he doesnt care. But you determine weather salvage or clean titled and you determin the price. I've seen many drivers suffer in this regards to salvage vihicles... There was a guy that even collected a car a partner bought from cars45 and called it tok not knowing car was a refurbish naija used crest few months later driver and partner landed themselves in police station... We still dey settle d matyer since buhari enter powergrin

3. And individual can wake up on the wrong side of the bed one morning and trigger one clause driver has defaulted and then collect car, but a cooperate or SMEs won't do such. Also, should you default in a week payment so long you have a close rapot with your CO you guys can look for ways to cover up, worst case, they contact your guarantors to fill in the gap.

So to some large extent drivers have more rest of mind but on thenothe hands, some COs will fraustrate the hell outta you with calls if they haven't seen credit alert for a single week. This some private individuals can understand and shift grounds maybe when your account is blocked or some other personal issue.

Generally, it's rational and all depends on the individual involve, if you're lucky to have a good partner then individual HP is better off otherwise, the micro financial institution should be your best bet.

Best way to get a good deal out of a financial Institute is to look for a cheap car... What are you looking for flashy car for? Be it in Benin or any where in Nigeria. Bro... Stay low even dangotes dey carry uber. Yes your heard me right.

I've an offline client, the man get money scarra! He was the one that asked me to look for a 2012 corolla sport the other time, I asked him, sir! Why not go for an SUV due to our roads? He said my son in a cool and gentle voice, the Nigeria of now you need some that won't announce you". Hmm!

I've lived in Benin b4 and still have business and in-laws Benin police no get wahala, how many road checkpoint dey Benin? How Many law enforcement agencies dey worry?? Abeg Benin na easy life so far you no pass your boundaries you're good to go.
Police in general self don't have issue provided you obey and know their language you won't have a problem with them at all unless you meet the one wey dog bit for yashgrin enh enh! U self go know say na 2type if life dey.

Finally, look for a cheap car say Honda civic, accident free with low millage like that of BAZ001's grin assume 1.7m-1.8m... Or Toyota echo... It's around 1.4-1.5m now or big daddy...Do 2.5% then divide by 78weeks you have something around 30k or thereabout... You down payment will fall around 280-300k negotiable if you can relate well with them.

They calculate weeks and not months so stop bordering about paying more... Looking at it closely you wint get individual HP now anything less than 4m now but on this McF assets its far less. So take the opportunity now as e dey hot otherwise, you'd regretted not taking it after 2yrs.

As for the driving, put learner and give yourself 1 month you'll get use to it. Driving na mind.

All the best.

The Boss thanks so much for taking time to analyze this issues

Yes it is an assets loan, for every assets you want to make the best use of it

i am getting a car for 2 reason, Business and personal use

at least thank God for uber/bolt that have brought dignity to taxi business.

my brother dollar is not smiling oh so when making projections it is better one work with an higher rate, even the 2.8 i will have to increase that budget too self

one other thing i am working on is to make sure that, i can pull funds from other sources to offset the payments for the car

for instance if the total repayment is 4 million i want to be able to pull 1.8 million from other sources and the car can work the balance 2.2 million

also if the repayment is 18 months i want to be able to repay the entire money in 9 months max 10 months

if i am getting a car below 2 million i think i will rather get that out of pocket rather that going through HP.

i am just considering my options. Why my partner is making money the deal must also be a good deal for me, and i must also have space to breathe

I don’t think i will want to pay for comprehensive insurance for a partner, he/she is in business and in it to make profit, so the entire responsibility should not be on the driver

why can’t a partner pay for insurance he/she is the sole beneficiary

so the insurance and Vat was a turn off for me

every kobo count

if a driver don’t pay after two weeks and partner have the right to withdraw car, no matter the amount driver has balance

i think i will rather look for a partner we can both get a lawyer and draw up an agreement that protect us both

agreement should not protect partners alone,

if not for budget i don’t think i will want to get a car below 10 years, i think that should be 2011, but bcus of budget constraint i will rather settle for 2006 that should be 15 years

so how much do you think, 2006 corolla will go for, clean toks

or at least if i can raise 1.5M and get another 1.5M loan from a cooperative to repay back in one year

i think i will even have much breathing space,

Mr Feli thank you for taking time to pen this down for me

let me take time to re-digest all that you have side, then i will have to realign, Re-strategies, and go back to the drawing board

If you're considering HP,rentals or taking a loan, for the love of God, heed to this advice. Make your decisions according to your circumstances. For some, HP/rental may be OK cos the car belongs to their close friend or family member. Or the price offer for HP was too good to reject. Others with some funds may chose to take loans and add it up in order to get the car. In addition, there are some folks without any reasonable savings, meaning that their only option is rentals. Different strokes for different folks.

Whatever you chose, be sure that it's in your best interest. Mr Feli's advice is on point, valid and factual as it addresses some of major advantages and disadvantages associated with HP, rentals and Loans.

Hey guys,
I need your advice.
Anybody heard about flywheel?
Please what causes it to break??
Mine has broken for the fifth time now.
First time:
Mechanic brought down the engine, removed the flywheel and bought another. He said my converter is vibrating and they (he gave it to the people who work on it) did some work on it to “stabilize it”.
Second timesadtwo days later)
They dropped the engine and said it broke at another spot. Long story short, he gave the excuse that my Corolla 04 has a different model of flywheel (old model flywheel) and sha replaced it (I had a feeling it was all bobo).
Third time: (two weeks later)
They dropped the engine and they said they went to look for “gear box specialist” from ladipo to properly investigate what is going on. Long story short, they said the guy did some work and it won’t happen again.
Fourth time: (like two weeks later)
They advised I should change my converter and the flywheel.
We did.
Fifth time: (one week later)
This is now, they are advising I should just change my whole gearbox.

Anybody has this kind of challenge please?
I need help and answers please.

Na simple flywheel you no know ?
Small thing ,

A flywheel is a mechanical device which uses the conservation of angular momentum to store rotational energy; a form of kinetic energy proportional to the product of its moment of inertia and the square of its rotational speed. ... Common uses of a flywheel include: Smoothing the power output of an energy source.

First of all, remove Toyota Camry on that list. E get many whys.

If you're buying a car for business, forget higher purchase, and forget Tokunbo.

Weekly payments 30k, only on the condition that you are undertaking all repairs on the vehicle.

Look for a tokunbo standard Nigeria used and buy. If you buy kpokoro kpokoro Nigerian used, pls don't quote me. After buying the Tokunbo standard, take it to your trusted mechanic and do a total revamp of the suspension, all bushings ball joints(front and rear, cooling system, radiator. Wash up the interior, change brake bad's, slam on brand new tires, comprehensive insurance and tracker. Spray the car if you have to. This is because the car won't have any business breaking down for 2 months atleast.

I don't think you'll spend 2m to get to this stage. Then driver recruitment is next. Never ever recruit a driver that doesn't make up to 100k weekly, ever. Else story story everyday. This also means avoid new drivers. Drivers who just learnt to drive or wey no sabi at least 70% of Lagos roads, axe!

I repeat, 30k weekly. And you are doing all repairs henceforth. Use the same mechanic that revamped the vehicle cos he now knows the history and make sure you keep a record of every repair made.
Noted.

Even their patron dru23 pretended as if he didn’t see my campaign. But I enter the league by fire by force, only for pearl1910 to come and denounce me publicly. Dem do me wetin APc do Saraki, dribble me go back and front.
