I used infinix hotnote 2 which I upgraded to 6.0 and I was still blocked. The upgrade thing doesn't work jare. Once it's not their recommended fone forget it. I had to buy infinix hot 4 pro for 42,800 naira which the taxify guy certified ok.. I was scared cos I was blocked for a year.. But thank God it's working fine now

Hello peeps. I have an uncle who wants to send me his Toyota Camry 2010 From Canada to start Uber and taxify. Is it good for the business? and what is d cost clearing at d port? AC is practically not working. Funny thing was that it worked well last night when I went to pick the car from the partner. It's Toyotal Corolla 2008.

Called partner to explain to him. He said I should do whatever I can till he can have cash to fix next week.

you can buy Huawei too, or nice ZTE too.

Dont just look for for the android version only....check it's efficiency, performance. Forget big battery...
Look if the phone has these :

1.Compass (when you take your sharp turns/bends it keeps you on the the provided route, not when you make a turn its starts re-routing and sometimes lost the GPS and helps you begin your navigation by not moving to the wrong/opposite direction when you start)

2.GPS [American navigation] (preferably A-GPS, A stands for assisted), GLONASS(Russian navigation) , BDS(Chinese navigation)

3. 2 gb ram. (i prefer 3gb ram, multi task smoothly with uber, taxify and google map apps with other apps on)

4.Chipset, MTK chipset is common around but they have different grades, i used Hisilicon kirin on Huawei, now Exynos on samsung. But snapdragon is great too. For tecno, infinix mostly they have MTK, but make sure its a high grade one.

5. 4G LTE enabled... 3G is fast but 4G is faster, (not glo network o.)

Would break these down later... Or just google up and read.
If your car is ok, your phone is your number one tool in this business.. Cheers

Since you intend to collect upfront payment weekly, should his rating or how long he's been on Uber really matter? As you really have nothing to lose.

If all of you are asking for experience, what hope will new drivers have?.

if new driver (like me cheesy

) is willing to pay upfront to prove himself worthy, since partner has nothing to lose, they should be given the chance

I just started this Uber thing and I have not been able to make more than 6-8k in a day, what's wrong?

Normally before 7 am, I might have done up to two trips that's from surulere to ikoyi, ikoyi to lekki and then lekki to ikeja. When I get to alausa ikeja, I stay at icm till I get a request, note that this is around 9-11am. At times, I do fall asleep till I get a request and then I do two more rides for the day. And that's my daily routine. I move between ikoyi, mushin, ikeja.

Please I really need help on best locations to be. All I just do is to fuel my car and have like 3k left. You people doing 20k a day show me the way abeg. I had to invest some amount of money to start this Uber thing everybody is talking about
