Hi Nairalanders, Please I want you to help me out. I want to apply for UK visa. I can use my uncle as my sponsor, but the problem is that we don't share the same surname because he's my fathers step(half) brother. How do I convince the consulate that he's truly my uncle? Please I need your quick response. Thanks. |

Hi, I dont know if u got your visa, but you need to get your sponsor to write a letter of sponsorship/invitation that will include how he is related to you. There is no other way to prove it, and ECO's do use it a basis for visa refusal's.Sometimes its like a Catch-22 situation. |
