So subconsciously, that girl he values as a trophy, doesn't seem like that anymore. He begins to see himself in a whole new light. He begins to believe that with the wealth he now has, he can get hundreds of girls like that, so he starts to wonder what makes that other girl so special.
So instead of concentrating on that girl, he decides to "play" her and still "play" other girls.

Yes, there is always that possibility. But it all boils down to the personality of the individual in question.
Money changes people, yes, but one can decide the extent to which that change will occur.

It also depends on the love the guy has for that particular lady. Most times, what a guy might feel might be lust or infatuation and not love.
Probably she has big boobs, a pretty face or a big backside and the guy likes her for that. When he later has money, he will see other girls that have better boobs, prettier faces and better assses, who previously were out of his reach, but due to his newly acquired status, aren't.

"So why settle for less when you can get better," is what will be ringing in his mind.

Trust me, no one can answer that question. Only when he is faced with such circumstance would he make his decision on what to do.

Yea we live in a time when people are judged by how they look, what they wear, what they have, and there social status which is hugely influenced by the amount of zeros in their bank accounts.
Every one wants the good things in life and a lot of people, especially the ladies always want to align with those that are well to do.
So the average girl will always want to hook up with a rich guy.

But like you said their are rare cases where ladies will stick to a guy regardless of his financial status, and hope that things will be better, but not every lady is willing to risk such.
