You can ascribe the blame to Sijuwade who in his years as king decided to elect many Area heads and left high chiefs to positions of locality kings.

The Obalufe and other left chiefs are the descendants of the heads who ruled ile Ife before oduduwa came and conquered Ife and became the king.
