Sensational reporting. The state government just recently demolished the popular hang-out opposite the Flour Mills junction. The story doesn't reflect the reality on ground.

Most Cameroonians in Calabar are from the English speaking part which have borders with the state along Mfum in Ikom down to Ikang/ Nyanje in Akpabuyo/Oban axis. Because the Cameroonians intermarry and have close ties with Cross River it's normally hard to tell if the girls are Cameroonian or not because they speak the same local Ejagham dialect as in Etung, Ikom and Akamkpa (Oban axis) and have the same surnames and cultural ties. Rather the ones with French accent can be clearly distinguished.

Hmmm, the Niger Republic commercial sex workers storyline must be a figment of imagination of the writer, except he's including those few foreign beggers in his script.
