“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden." (Matt 5:14).

In the midst of all the plains, valleys and lowlands we have a city sitting very high on a mountain. It is the most popular and influential city; people talk about the city, admire it, envy it, dream about being there and even make rigorous effort to visit the city. Oh, how many legends and myths are form about this city and all around you hear the talk of the glory of the city.

People say all kind of wonderful thing about this city, things like "Oh, how wise is the ruler of that city, his wisdom is beyond comparison...", "how strong is the wall of the city, so impenetrable...", "if you could see the streets of that city, it beauty surpass any other..." and the talk about the city goes on and on. Of course other cities are jealous of the glory of this city but there is nothing they can do about it, for the city is incurably attractive and people gravitate towards it.

Yes, multitude of people journey to the city to behold it beauty and to learn of it wisdom.
"The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising." (Isa 60:3)
"Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, And we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem." (Isa 2:3).


They sit at the feet of the Lord of the city and learn. The city is also greatly influential, it has such great authority among the nations of the world. Kings, emperor and warlord hold there tongue when the dwellers of the city speaks. The city is greatly respected for her wisdom and goodness. The city radiate such admirable goodness and pulsate with pure love.

Oh, how people wish to be one of the dwellers of the city and the very dwellers of the city walk among the nations with pride because there is non other as glorious as our city.
