Peniel is the brainchild of the retired General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Nigeria. It is the church's version of Shiloh organised by Winners. While the Chidi Okoroafor faction has control of the campsite at Okpoto, the Paul Emeka faction hold sway at the church headquarters in Enugu
