I havent used my car for a couple of weeks now, I serviced it yesterday changing engine and gear oil but after starting , the gear won't enter reverse the reverse light shows on dashboard and reverse lights on the back lights but doesn't reverse. All other gears select well. Its an automatic Honda accord 1997.
Please any explanation?

Ask your mechanic to check your gear selector. An adjustment should probably solve this

According to the you, the problem started after a tranny oil change. Now, we don't know how long the old fluid was used before the change, what type of fluid or what type of fluid you have replaced it with.
My guess is that a solenoid is stuck open or closed. proper diagnosis should be done on your tranny before making any conclusions

Do some diagnostics on the car first
