For goodness sake, you are just trying to make an issue out of nothing, in his first post, he called the hadith a "verse", what does that mean? ahadith are never referred to as ayaat(verses), BTW whats your problem with this issue? cuz i dont see its relevance to the op.

But if Allah was on Muhammad's side then he had nothing to worry about since Allah was going to give the Muslims victory no matter what. And so Muhammad could just let them go. Unless Allah was not on Muhammad's side or Allah does not really exist.

Really the Muslims should have no reason to fight anyone over anything, since Allah will ultimately protect the Muslims.
