My friend is into limestone mining. What exactly do you want to know?
Re: Mining Industry In Nigeria by sholatech(m): 4:25pm On May 16, 2009
Might help if you can be specific.
Licensing is done by the federal ministry of mines and steel devt.
largely informal driven.
Most people calling themselves miners are just traders of mined materials.
Nigeria has huge deposits of market-demanded precious stones, metals and non-metals
So so much in the industry

@9jarocks The mining industry in nigeria is still very young. There are no big mining companies yet operating in Nigeria even though Nigeria is richly endowed with huge mineral deposits including metalic, non metalic and precious stones. Nigeria is blessed with over 37 diferent minerals of commercial quantities.

I work for a mining company based in Nigeria. We currently mine and process different solid minerals including limestone, dolomite, kaolin, feldspar, barite, bentonite, lead. We are currently entering business coperation with foreign a company based in china to enable us increase our mining capacity and also develop new sites. Also we are currently developing the export market begining with west african countries like ghana.

Some of our products when processed are used as industrial grade chemicals for paint, glass, animal feed, plastics, oil drilling, paper, decorative, e.t.c

It was quite an interesting and lucrative sector because there is not much competition yet. The most important aspect is importing good mechinaries for your mining operations.

You can contact me through email beescompanysap@yahoo.com or ezekwere2000@yahoo.com if you have further questions.

Our company is also interested in out sourcing the marketing of some of its products to reputable marketing organizations to expands its market base.

you can also call me 08056112392. Or email. Beesindustries@gmail.com

With due respect from the management of JSC Eurotech-Machinery and Belagro Bel Group of Companies.
We are using this medium to introduce our company JSC Eurotech-Machinery and our plans for the mining industry in Burkina Faso and Africa as a whole which you are a main player taking into cognizance the strategic developmental strides of the Nigerian mining sector.
JSC Eurotech-Machinery (www.eurotechm.com) a subsidiary of the Belagro Group of Companies (www.belagrobel.com) is an official distributor and service delivery of the BeLAZ brand of mining machinery which is produced by the BelAZ Plant which boasts of having the Guinness world records of the biggest mining dump truck in the world, it would also interest you that 52 units of the BELAZ equipment, last year was also supplied to the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company https://www.zcdco.com/operations-overview/projects/.
We specialize in the export of rigid dump trucks, underground mining machinery e.t.c to countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Taking into cognizance, the potentials and growth of the mining industry in Africa with the resultant need for machinery which are cost effective, durable in such means that the operational costs would be lower than competing brands which the BelAZ brand has to offer, we thereby offer you a mutually-beneficial partnership which would include:

2. Offering technical assistance, training of your company technical specialists both in the BelAZ plant and at your base.
