this is the best hypocritical news you have heard in a year.

What is the different on banning pornography and doing it real life immorally undecided

This are something we are not even to put concern on but rather thinking of a way to improve our economic

My dear you can do without pornography. It fries the grey matter of the brain.
if I can, yes you can.

I hope they will equally censor the under aged girls they use in " Thank you for coming" PARTY in Nigeria.

or is that one not worth implementing?

my dear!
I'm not a fan of pornography, those stuff irritate me (aldo I watched it in some way when I was younger)

All I'm trying to say is that the Senate should concentrate on some pressing issues at hand not something that is irrelevant as in now!

By banning pornography, will it creat job undecided

Will it improve the economic situation undecided

Will it boost our GDPundecided

Even if BAN guys will still find a better way to bypass it, just like one moniker above who said he will change the IP address, and it will work perfectly.

Our politician are not to be concern on something that won't even add a thing to our nation.

Am not a porn fan, but with my little knowledge, i Don't think it can be implemented in Nigeria here as we Nigerians are bad & have deep initiatives...

Though dose contents are irritating & bad.. .

##First, with the power of Dark_web, such contents will be bypassed.
## use of Vpn apps on iOs & Android will also bypass any restriction(s).. .

Etc..

So, they should focus on other issues that will develop the nation.

That is also a real world problem, i opine that an upsurge in rape cases including underage kids can be largely attributed to increased access to porn materials on blogs/sites.

That's a welcome idea, house of reps; you guys should atleast liaise with Oculists to remove our eyeballs anything we mistakenly enter any porn site.
Also, all girls should wear agbada. Useless men!

But.. Is that the what we need now...

That was how we hurriedly passed anti-gay Law and have not defeated Boko Haram

If they want to help us... reduce internet and call Tarrif

WE need servers in Nigeria where we can host the blogs

Get one.. Make it very cheap.. Tell people you are hosting what not to upload

Dont tell people what to post in a blog they hosted in Germany, Israel, Russia, Russia etc

Thanks

Nass, best @ 'preventing' our youths from both good and bad and ugly. Instead of discussing more conc issues. Its social media that they dont even have standard stats on that they are deliberating!

Rabbish.

Just give 3 secondary school students a chance to those hallowed floors and see the ideas they would share for a better country.

Bellied Greeds!

Every demon that rapes any female underage or otherwise simply allowed his base and warped desires to manifest. Porn has nothing to do with it and that is the prerogative of a personal individual. It is certainly not what taxpayers and citizens expect them to deliberate upon.

Something formed the base and warped desires !, What could that be ? let that be your food for thought.

Rape and abuse of minors did not start today. When did Nigeria start having access to the internet? It is a malaise that should be addressed through the criminal justice system with good punitive and corrective measures in place. The dire straits in which Nigeria finds herself today is not caused by access to porn. People are hungry and need to prosper! The humongous sums they commandeer as sitting allowances and whatnot cannot be frittered away on such inconsequential matters in the general scheme of things. There is something called priority!

This law makers can be very funny sha so out of the uncountable threatening issues in naija they could not pass the bill on any one but infringement on the right to media is the bottleneck of our numerous problems abi?Gone are those days when we the gullible masses don't know our right but not anymore.this guys should better not push the youth to dead end less we retaliate.5000 that would have been a great achievement was overulled but porn was picked out of the blues what a joke.Is this part of the campaign promises?is this the change we voted for?

rape and abuse did not start today, my first response made reference to a noticeable upsurge in rape cases in very recent times. The legislature and judiciary work hand in hand. One makes the law, the other gives interpretation. Life or situations are not black or white, there are shades of grey porn access with no control whatsover is dangerous , if not checked, in no time, we will be dealing with bestiality, homosexuality, rape, incest, in frightening proportions

I do not object to all what u have said but my point is priority! At this critical time in the economy, censoring porn access on the internet should be way down the bottom of the list. In fact, it is a frivolity we cannot afford at this time. They cannot even address the political in-house bickering they have been serenading the Nigerian public with and someone reaches all the way to porn?! Come on!

trust me if you look at it from that rigid perspective, there will never be a good enough time to address such, we wont say because of critical time in our economy, the house should not debate about sports, entertainment industry e.t.c but simply economy, economy, economy..... , dont forget there are different committees in the house.

It infringes on the rights of citizens. Censorship is unconstitutional. Why won't Africa be a craphole?! Your constitution means nothing to you. Africa should be nuked; you low IQ bastards don't deserve to live.

[quote author=francizy post=39921161]Nigeria is a joke! You leave pressing issues and fight for irrelevances! Even the most religious countries in the world have rapists and prostitutès so I don't understand the need to delve into what shouldn't be an issue. As a matter of fact, that some people don't rape today is as a result of the porn content they consume. If you wanna reduce rapè and child molestation, make the laws strict, at least death sentence for child molestation and life imprisonment for rape. Shikina!

uhmm! U want death sentence nd life imprisonment for sexual offenders yet u suport pornograph. A male that watches pornography in his room, wl definately want to practicalise it. d u knw what they cal 'remote' of "immediate" causes of actions being taken? Watch pornograph and dresing provocatively are 1 of causes of any rape. If truely u ar a full grown up guy u wll knw wht am sayin. Sir, enough of talking frm both sides of mouth!
